For me, this is a very effective adjunct treatment for pain associated with degenerative arthritis in my lumbar spine and hips. It is very important to follow the package directions and apply a very THIN layer to decrease burning sensation. There are also lower strength formulations available. When used as directed, I find my chronic pain is decreased and I am able to move more freely. With reg...

I applied about 11:00 pm. By 2:00 am my legs and feet were on fire. It was borderline unbearable. I tried washing it off, applying alhoe, nothing worked. I wrapped my legs with wet hand towels packed with icepacks. It took 7-8 hours for the burning to stop. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I was so happy to find this product and mad I lived so long without knowing about it! It works! The only down side is you have to use a latex glove to apply it so you don't burn your eyes or mouth from ineffective hand washing after using it...it spreads....for example if you used it on your arm and slept on your arm on a desk it would spread to your face and you would feel the numbing burning sensation on your face. I found the burning sensation as a sign of it working and at least an alternate signal from the pain of the neuralgia my brain got to process, so still it was a relief/distraction from the nerve pain. I would advise using it repeatedly so you just don't have to feel any pain or get to have significant decrease in pain. There is no need to feel nerve pain full on now that this product exists!!!Read More Read Less

This has been brilliant for my post herpetic shingles) neuralgia, when nothing else had worked. There is a bit of a knack. APPLY THINLY AS PER DIRECTIONS several times a day. You have to do this for a while , possibly a month, see directions. I noted it down to keep on track. AFTER THAT my pain reduced dramatically. Its really worth reading the directions carefully. Also the burning reduces as you do this over and over, just apply thinly, dont rub in much, wash hands.

With regular application as directed, the burning sensation decreases, which can initially be very intense if over applied, decreases and the benefits increase. I also like that there is no odor and it isn't greasy or sticky feeling. Be aware that additional heat sources, like hot car seats, heavy blankets or clothing, or very hot showers will "reactivate" the burning sensation and it can become very uncomfortable. All in all, I highly recommend this medication for those who experience chronic pain associated with arthritis. Read More Read Less
