Very important to fight the urge to dose too early. Doctors (here) are more concerned with DEA investigation than patient relief. Be careful not to think this medication "cures" your pain-causing condition; you will feel great when pain is relieved and exercise can cause more harm than good to spinal disk conditions!

I have rheumatoid arthritis and this is the only thing I can take that seems to help and not make me sicker. There are times I take more than others, just according to the level of pain and then as long as I decrease it as soon as I can I've been able to control the amount I take. Fortunately my doctor also keeps a close tab on me without making me feel like a criminal. I've heard that so many doctors do that. Anyway. I am satisfied with this medication and appreciate that it is available.

But due to those people who abuse such medications, it is hard to find a doctor who will prescibe it. I have been on Hydrocodone/APAP since 2003, I take it as directed and only as directed. I understand that the laws governing this medication are very strict, but I believe if you have cronic pain above a level 5 with proof of condition, you should be able to recieve this medication without the doctor treating you like your a drug abuser! Believe me, I have tried all the alternatives, Physical Therapy, exersize, and many other things, but the Hydrocodone/APAP and the other meds in combination with that are the only thing that has been able to keep me working and living a full and happy life. I have grandchildren I love to pick up and love, and I can only do that because of my medication.Read More Read Less
