Before I started using this I read these reviews and became horrified this was going to be the worst thing to happen to me, but I've been extremely fine with it no bad side effects at all

I've been taking birth control for 12 years and in the past 3 years been on Tri-Estarylla. CVS changed it and I assumed it would be the same has the one I had before. I was wrong. I didn't have any physical problems like most ladies and it did do its job..no pregnancies. I just started feeling off. I become more anxious, and depressed before my period. I thought this was normal. Until, my new doct...

I have been switched to the generic brand by my pharmacy rite aid. Lately I have been having trouble staying asleep . A few hours a night mostly five hours or six (last night I went to bed at three am and woke up at 8am!) (late work schedule) , for the last few nights before that I been having the same problem. I am trying to think of what I have done different ( I started dieting in a healthy way and exceeding but not before bed) the only main thing I can think of was that I changed birth control around the same time that I started having sleep issues . I wonder if anyone had the same experience ? Everyone is different but I will NOT be taking this again and hopefully I will know if it was my birth control pills , I can't think of anything else. Before the sleep disturbance I was not stressed in fact I was happier than I have been in a long time. Hope this helps or relates to someone!Read More Read Less

I am a healthy 34 year old that just gave birth to my first child. When I started having abdominal pains, chest pains, blurred vision and shortness of breath one night I decided to look in to the side effects of this birth control. Needless to say, the list of side effects and drug reviews of this pill was enough to convince me that I need to stop taking it. I had only been taking it for two weeks when the side effects started. I also was just given the generic version by the pharmacy. I do not recommend this birth control to anyone and it should be taken off the market before something tragic happens to someone!Read More Read Less

This is the second type of birth control that I have been on and it has suprisingly worked very well for me. I was originally on Tri Previfem and was upset when it was switched, but after a shaky first month with some nausea I have adjusted to it well. However, I continue to feel nauseas the first day of starting a new cycle. Would recommend for those in their teenage years.

I thought this was normal. Until, my new doctor pointed out that I shouldn't be experiencing these symptoms. This pill is more for teens, since ones hormones are going through puberty. It's not meant for 25yrs and up. So I'll be starting a new birth control. I just wish I new about this earlier. Read More Read Less

This pill has been terrible. Since CVS switched me, I have been spotting for 6 weeks straight. Waiting to see my doctor so I can get switched.

This is by far the worst birth control I've been on over the past 4 years. I've never had any issues with cramps, mood swings,or irregularities with any other pill and with this one I had all of these symptoms and more. My pharmacy switched (without warning) and said it was the same medication as my previous pill (tri previfem) and that I shouldn't expect any changes. I gave it 3 months to see if I would start to see improvements but the symptoms have only gotten worse, especially the emotional side effects. Picking up a new prescription today!Read More Read Less

I am a healthy 27 year old, and I have taken combination birth control pills without problem ever since I was 23 without any pauses. Nonetheless, I had my first serious reactions to the Pill after taking this version of drug. One of my fingers started to tremble involuntarily, so much so that I thought I was developing a disorder. I also noticed a significant increase in my anxiety level. I do not and have not taken ANY other prescription medications over the past few years, so I am confident that this drug is at least partly responsible for the terrible reaction. I have taken name-brand and generic versions of this drug such as Ortho-Tricyclen, Tri-Previfem and Tri-Sprintec. These gave me zero serious issues. Like the other reviewers, I recommend staying away from Tri-Estarylla. Read More Read Less

I recently just stopped taking this pill after CVS switched my prescription without my permission a few months ago.. I stopped the pill after the fact I came to realize I had so many symptoms since the very start of this pill. The last refill I had was in Nov

My 16 year old daughter was taking this for a few months after CVS had switched her. We didn't realize the horrible side effects until she stopped taking it. She was crying, stressed, having anxiety issues. I made an appointment with a Psyciatrist, it was bad. Then I read the reviews on this drug and took her off of it and she made a remarkable change back to a happy young lady. I will never put her on this again.

THIS SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL. After I got my health insurance, I had to be switched to generic from orthotricyclen (why???) so I had to go to cvs to pick it up versus getting it at the vna, and not even a week later, I got a clot in my calf and in my lung and I'm severely in pain. Not worth it AT ALL. STAY AWAY!!!

After two months of being on this pill I developed two clots, one in each lung, that has never happened with prior bc but now I can never go on hormonal bc again unless I want to die or be on blood thinners for the rest of my life. This medication is not safe. I would never recommend this birth control to anyone ever.

I have been taking this pill for 4 months now. The first few days are a little rough but you really need to give it a try. It seems that all the reviews are from women who tried it for less than a month, you really need to give it time. Once time passed it does not negatively affect me at all, keeps me from getting pregnant, and showing a decrease in my acne. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind toughing it out a few days for a great end result.

I, like every other reviewer, was switched to estarylla by my pharmacist when the drug company started pushing it. It took me a few years to get a birth control that worked well with my PCOS and I am very happy with previfem. Within a day of taking estarylla I had 2 cysts rupture and I felt sick to my stomach. I couldn't really keep any food down and within a week I had lost 3lbs. It gave me horrible stomach cramps and nausea which made me not want to eat- which led to bouts of dizziness. 9 days after taking it, I promptly threw it in the trash. I wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy.Read More Read Less

I am 18 years old and this has made me feel like I was 90 years old on my death bed. I have felt like total crap on it. As an athlete, waking up every morning wth swollen eyes, and headaches was HORRIBLE. I would never recommend this to anyone. I also threw up several times. Throat closing as well. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.

This is the worst drug ever created. I have never had problems with birth control pills and have been on birth control for 15 years. The pharmacy switched me to Tri Estarylla (without my permission). This birth control turned me into a different person. I started feeling very weak all the time, had strange sensations in my arms and hands with tingling and weakness, started having panic attacks and very drastic mood swings. I thought I needed to go on anti-anxiety medicine because my anxiety became so awful. That's what the drug companies want.. for you to just start taking more medication. I finally realized this birth control may be the culprit and went off it and went back to my old birth control brand. I went completely back to normal and stopped having all the horrible side effects. Anyone who is taking this birth control brand, BEWARE!!!! In my opinion, it should be taken off the market. I was switched to this pill when my pharmacy stopped carrying tri-previfem. After 2 days, I started feeling sick. I woke up in the middle of the night, nauseous. in addition to feeling sick, I feel cranky, bloated, tired and dizzy/light headed. I have called 2 other pharmacies that carry my old pill, and I will be transferring my prescription. It is not worth the agony. All the reviews I have read on this pill are terrible. I would never use it again!

I was originally on Tri-Previfem which worked very well with my body but then I got switched to Tri-Estarylla. This birth control is so terrible. The symptoms are so bad with this pill. I've had the following symptoms: mood change/depression, weight gain, bad acne, change in sex drive, tiredness/fatigue, periods are heavier, and nausea. Over all, this is the worst birth control. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TAKING IT!!

This is a terrible medication. I was switched from Tri-Prevefim which I had no trouble with whatsoever. I stopped taking this about a month ago and I still feel dizzy and lightheaded everyday. I am thinking about restarting Tri-Prevefim because this madness needs to end. I have never in my life experienced anything like this. I'm begging everyone to please NOT take this poison.

Same story as everyone else. Was switched from Tri-Nessa which I loved and did great with. Now I feel crummy all the time. Moody, tired, migraines etc. Needs to be removed from the market!
