My Nerologist has given me this medicene for Parkinsons.I havve only been taking it for 4 days.It really seems to be helping but I'm not sure. The side effects listed concern me some times tthe cure seems worse than the disease.Since its an moa inhibator Ive never taken before I have no idea what I can or cannot take as far as other mmeds go.

Took this after Neupro patch was recalled. During and after adjustment, experienced more syptoms of Parkinsons that weren't an issue. Drowsiness, decreased mental speed, decreased physical speed, stiffness, and aches were all new symptoms. Never had 'Parkinsons Mask' until I took this drug. 3 days after discontinuing the Azilect, I am myself again-moving better, no aches, mentally clearer. Was almost as though taking this medication literally gave me Parkinsons! I suddenly had outward symptoms that I'd never experienced before. I hear for some this med works well, but I fear someone may do as I did, mistake the side effects for the disease. After discontinuing Azilect, I am back to my old self. Read More Read Less

I am not sure what it was supposed to do other than retard the progression and it aappears to have worked well. I have developed slight tremors but not as bad as I had expected. I am noticing a slight difficulty in my walking although.

My tremors greatly improved after starting on this medication. I had taken Senemet and Requip and neither helped at all.

Have only been taking for a week, but seems to be o.k. I have been a little dizzy but not sure if it is a reaction or could be sinus.
