Male. Age 78. Age 77 when started using. Aug, 2012 began to have blurred vision in left eye. Got worse: unable to read signs on Interstate [their huge] until very close. Eventually began double vision. Started Ocuvite 50+. In 10 days vision began to improve and completely cleared in a few more days. Coincidence? Did not know. Ran out of the Ocuvite, and bought another--did not notice it did not s...

I took ocuvite for one week and ended up in the ER with severe chest pain and nausea. Since this was my only change in diet or medication I attribute it to the Ocuvite.

I'm 59 and tried this to see if it would improve my vision as I use readers. Big mistake as it caused my vision to get worse. Got off immediately.

Started taking Occuvite recently- once a week. Went to the eye doctor for annual exam and he said to be careful since it contains a lot of zinc and some people cannot handle it; and to only take it if recommended by an eye doctor. Turns out he said my vision actually improved! It has to be the occuvite?!, my prescription has not changed in 25 years. Going to keep taking it in moderation - one a week.

I took the Ocuvite 50+ and one week later I started to have dizzy spells, so I stopped it. The gels are huge & also hurt my stomach when taking it, not the best. I will try one more time once a week only, as prescribed to take every day, I cannot, it destroyed my system.

Been taking this for several years but the last 2 batches had strong fish odor, so bad that I might stop taking it.

I took a pill this morning. It became stuck in my throat and I could not swallow it. I felt like I was chocking so I will throw away the rest of the bottle of pills.

I take 9 pills per day, some larger than Occuvite. Occuvite 50+ is the only one I continually choke on because of its shape.

Revised pill size and shape make it hard as hell to swallow - even with a mouthful of milk.

In 30 days my eyesight has improved 20%! I can't wait to see what happens after a significant period of time.

I have taken Ocuvite for nearly 25 years and have enjoyed remarkable eye health and have been very satisfied. Recently, however, they have changed the pill to a "mini gel" that is nearly impossible to swallow. I have had difficulty in finding the former pill style. Until I do I will be unable to use this product again. Very disappointing!

MiniGel design is extremely difficult to swallow. For anyone with swallowing issues, be careful.

My eye doctor recommend I purchase this product from his office to help my vision. I was excited that it might help me so I took one with my next meal. I began feeling as though my skin began very itchy and I had a rash in a few areas of my body. I thought I had gotten too close to some poison ivy or something in my yard. The rash went away and the next day I took another pill and then it began again. Looking at the bottle's ingredients I began to wonder which could possibly be causing my rash. So this product is one I hoped I could take but can't as at first I thought it was a fluke. A year or so later he said it might have been old so I purchased another bottle and the same thing happened so I'm out about eighty dollars for something I can't take. Read More Read Less

I started taking occuvite about a year or so ago. I was nearsighted and had worn glasses for years. I had a feeling my eyesight was getting better, but wasn't sure. In June of last year, I went to the eye doctor and she told m e that my eyesight had indeed improved! I do not wear glasses anymore! I take this every day and will continue to do so. I never thought my eyesight would improve. I now suggest taking Ocuvite to my friends and my family. I am a huge believer, after my vision improved so much..Read More Read Less

I don't know what these other reviews could be talking about??? I have a history of MD in my family so I started taking Ocuvite over 10 yrs ago. I take it every day and experience no side effects at all. Time will tell if it was successful.

I've only been taking Ocuvite for a week now and almost every day I've had migraines. I decided to stop taking it for two days and didn't have any. I took one this morning to see if I would get a migraine and sure enough, I have one right now. :-( I guess I will have to stop taking it.

I began using this ocvuvite with lutein on advise of my opthamologist almost one year ago. I have not experienced any of the side effects reported in these reviews. I do not need nor am I taking any prescribed medications and I am in excellent health other than my aged related failing eyesight, nagging prostate gland and slight vitamin D deficiency. The effectiveness of this "eye health" product remains to be seen.

On the first day of taking Ocuvite, my mouth swelled up like a balloon. This is premature optimization at its finest.

After suffering for two years with recurrent blehpharitis I started taking this supplement. Worked wonderfully in reducing the redness/tearing. Except for some gas/constipation issues I am pleased.
