My family Doc noticed my ugly, thick, yellow toenails during a routine physical. He asked me if I would mind taking a Lamisil tablet once daily for one month to have normal nails again. I was ecstatic, hoping that I could once again wear sandals in public. After finishing the meds, I noticed that my toenails were changing back to normal. Today they are the same as when I was a teenager! But wait, ...

Lamisil actually put me in the hospital due to a severe skin rash. intraveneuos steroids over a period of 3 days was the only thing that took care of the rash. I think that the FDA really needs to take a closer look at this drug. There are too many bad reactions people could have such as liver problems to losing taste buds. This stuff is scary.

Have taken this pill for 1 month. started losing my taste so I stopped. still no taste it's been 4 weeks & counting. Can't eat hardley anything but raw veggies(cucumbers, green peppers, carrots) they seem to be the only thing I can taste. If I cook meat I have to practically burn it. It's horrible. The pharmisist suggested a spray for my toe nail which seems to be working just fine. Definitly not worth the sacrifice of losing taste.

Since I started it 6 days ago, I have itchy little blister like spots on my hands. Could I be allergic to Lamisil>|?

This does cure nail fungus. However, it is very dangerous. It can kill you. It feels awful to take. I am generally weak, get dizzy when I stand up too quickly, etc. It doesn't feel good to do strenuous exercise, which I like to do. Unfortunately, there is nothing else that cures this type of problem. Someone needs to fix that.

I took this drug a few years ago and it cleared up the nail fungus very well. It came back, so I am taking it again. After about 6 weeks, I see some improvement on the nails and soles of my feet. Both times, I have had very vivid dreams while taking the Lamisil. I am also taking Zoloft now, and I think they are interacting to cause some tingling in my hand. Luckily, no loss of taste for me.

I took this medication for 3 weeks and lost my sense of taste completely. It is not worth it. It has been a week and I still have not got my taste back and my doctor says it could be several weeks before I do. I didn't take the medicine long enough for it to work either. what a miserable waste of money and time.

I have been on the generic for Lamisil for 5 weeks. I have only one side effect, stomach cramping, which lasted 1 day. I haven't had any other side effects. I am waiting to see results in the appearance of my toenails.

After using for about 5 weeks, I have lost most of my taste. My Dr. said to stop taking it. When will I get my taste back. I have been off it for about 1 week. It seems better, but still has a long way to go.

I have been taking this drug for over a year and it hasn't done anything for my toenail fungus. In fact, I think maybe I took it for too long a time as I read where it shouldn't be taken more than 2 months because the effect it could on your liver. My doctor and my pharmacy did not tell me this during that period of time.
