I have trouble falling asleep every night, just toss & turn all night with a million thoughts going around in my head. Talked to my doctor and told him I was using Unisom gel caps. He said they are as good as any Rx med and non-habit forming. It does take about 45 mins until I'm sleepy, so I take it at least a 1/2 hr or so before bedtime. No fogginess in the morning and stay asleep. So I'd say...

I am a teen and started 5akung this last week or the week before because I could never sleep until these gels came into my life. Ever since I give them a good rating because now I can stay asleep instead if being up often. But the only downside is that I'm still never drowsy but overall I rate this product a 4 of 5.

It works very well, I fall asleep and stay asleep. However, I have to stop taking them because of the side effects. I am groggy in the morning with very dry throat and dry mouth. I recently started getting really bad heartburns which causes a bad taste in my mouth all day.

I took one tablet hoping to get a decent night's sleep after weeks of restlessness and over tiredness the next day. I fell asleep absolutely no problem and slept well, however I was unbearably tired in the morning, couldn't wake myself up and had to sleep early afternoon for about 2 hours so I could go to work. I think I'll have to try half of one. It's too strong for me.

I’ve been taking unisom sleep gels for 3/4 years. They worked for me. I was suggested these from my ob/gyn for sleeplessness and nausea! Over time I had to start taking two at night to even feel sleepy. Now I can’t skip a dose I get severe nausea, cold sweats, and headaches, symptoms persist until I take one. Not meant for long term use! You will withdrawal!

when you read others experiences that focus on next day hangover, don't discount it. I find after I take a gel cap I have a hangover that lasts around 12 hrs after took the pill. However, I don't know exactly how long because...BOOM...before I have time say "yawn" I'm asleep. Some people may feel it's a high price to pay for a goods nights sleep, but those of us who missed a good nights sleep for night after night, I'll take a hangover for 8 hours of shut eye.

I ended up taking two 50mg sleepgels about half an hour apart, and within an hour I was very pleased to feel myself drifting off. Normally I wake around 5-8 times a night but with unisom I only woke about 1-2 times and fell back asleep quickly. It actually worked!! Way less side effects than prescription sleep aids.

Causes me to suffer from RLS. diphenhydramine HCl is well known for triggering RLS in some people, yet they didn't put this warning on the packaging. Actually my husband picked it up for me and I thought it was the regular original Unisom (doxylamine succinate). So I ended up with a completely sleepless night because I couldn't get my legs to calm down. They REALLY need to put this information on the patient information sheet. It took me months to figure out that Benadryl (the same active ingredient) was what was causing the RLS symptoms (I don't have RLS at any other time than when I take these meds) Read More Read Less

I used to take prescription sleep medication until I found Unisom gels tablets. They work so much better than any other over the counter sleep aids.

Unisom Nightime Sleeptabs DO NOT CONTAIN BENADRYL!!!! It has Melatonin instead. I hope WebMD will correct this.

usually after an hour or so I get really sleepy and able to sleep all the way til morning. One thing I'm not too sure about taking it is that it makes me have very weird vivid dreams(nightmares sometimes) I am a person that does dream often but I realized this made the dream even more vivid and sometimes scary. I had a long dream and the dream end up of me getting shot by a man in the face, and my life style is far from anything like that and I never really have any fear of things like that... but thank god i woke up right away... but i went back to sleep and have another vivid dream... and i notice my throat is a little dry other than those 2 side effects, it does work well Read More Read Less
