Hormone replacement therapy

Pronunciation (hawr-mohn ri-pleys-muhnt ther-uh-pee)
  1. The use of hormones, usually estrogen and progesterone, as a therapy; often used to treat the discomforts of menopause or to replace hormones (especially estrogen) lost after menopause.
