This medication allowed me to finally get some sleep!! My daughter was very ill and after taking her to the doctor and he just saying it was a cold and sent me on my way; I didnt sleep for a week. My daughter was running a very high fever and had coughed so much her stomach was hurting (I assume it was her muscles aching from all the coughing). I finally took her to our family doctor rather than her pediatrician and I was alarmed that she had a severe ear infection and cold. The family doc said that we brought her in just in the nick of time; she could have had her ear drum bust in that ear because the infection was so bad. She is 4 now and instead of going to the pediatrician I will be taking her only to the family doc. He prescribed this medicine and she was sooooo much better the very next day (along with the antibiotics). I caught the same cold and also took the medicine; I was feeling fine in just a few days! I am 39 years old with HIGH allergies to medications. I was diagnosed with acute broncitus and pnumonia. The doctor was at a loss on how to treat me until he remembered something for children. This was it! It doesn't taste bad at all. Very thick and blue in color. Only thing I didn't like was that it dried my mouth out too much. That was ok though, I just drank more water and ate on ice chips. It helped alot. I had to get up a few times during the night to blow out the gunk when the decongestant would kick in. But again, it is the best thing out there for those young children, elderly or people like me with all the medical allergies.Read More Read Less

My 3 1/2 year old son had a bad cough and high fever for a week. He was not sleeping well at night because of the cough. This medication worked immediately. The only negative was an awful smell and taste. My son didn't seem to mind, though. He had no side effects from the medication. I would recommend this to any parent.

My 2 year old daughter was so sick she didn't sleep at night. She coughed all night and her temps. were very elevated. She has allergies and was taking Zyrtec with no relief. She contracted a sinus infection and was not eating or drinking. I was so amazed at the results that it frightened me. After having the same pediatrician since birth I had to change because they would not treat her. They continued to say she just had a cold and the croup and I did not feel that was the issue and I found another pediatrician, made an appointment and took her in after a week of 104.3 temps and coughing all day and night. The first time she took the medication I was so amazed. She slept soundly all night and she started to get better. Her nose ran like a faucet and it was a gross discharge. I am so pleased with the results that I would recommend it to anyone. My daughter was miserable and loosing weight before she started taking the medication. She is eating now and playing again.
