Took a 6 day course and on the 9th day, I developed extremely bad hives. They cover every part of my body. I have been given a steriod shot and pack, but no relief yet. Ask your doctor for another drug!

Turns out I'm allergic to it. After 1 week of my 2 week course, I broke out into head to toe hives. With bendryl and zyrtec, it didn't bother me but it didn't look pretty. Knocked the sinus infection right out. Would be very happy for it if not for the hives.

I wished I would have read these reviews before I took Factive. First dose I looked sun burnt on my face/body. Itching/rash/ fever followed. The need to get better out wieghed this. Second dose, my cough was worse last night added with the itching it was difficult to rest. I did at some point go to sleep only to wake up with my face/lips swelled like a ballon.I threw this medication in the trash where it should be and took a benadryl. Ive taken cipro and not had this effect

I took Factive once a day for 5 days, alone with a steriod 6 day pack. It turns out I am allergic to this antibotic (also allergic to amoxicilian). I was told that if I had not been on the steriod medicines my reaction would have been a lot worse. As of right now I just have a body rash and have started medcines to take care of that. Otherwise I did get better and I didn't notice any other issues with this drug.

While I did not experience the rash like some of the others listed here, I just returned from the emergency room with bad abdominal pain, nausea, and lower back pain for which the doctor says is related to the Factive. It cleared up my condition very well, however, I feel crummy from the other stuff.

After taking this drug for 5 days, I noticed a rash on my arms. I returned to the doctor and he switched my drugs, because my sinis infection was still present. The rash has covered my ears, chest, arms, back, legs, feet, stomach, and hands. (Every where but my face). This rash itches like crazy. The itching does not stop. My ears are the worst. I thought my ears were buring off. I hope that no one else goes thru this horrible experience.

I was freaking out today, because the rash I noticed on my legs had spread. I was trying to think what had changed in my routine and then I remembered my doctor told me you could develop a rash from this medicine. It does not itch, but I feel better knowing that other people have experienced the same thing and that it is probably due to the medicine. This rash developed on the last day I took the medicine and is now continuing after I ended treatment. It did clear up my persistent cough though, which has been bothering me for over a month now. Was prescribed the 7 day dose for a sinus infection. Took it for a few days with no relief. A week after switching off this medication a rash formed over my entire body. It doesn't itch, but it's spreading all over and looks really awful.

After second day, my face swelled up and I had a horrible burning sensation on my face. It was beet red and burned. My eyes were swollen shut. My arms swelled and had a fine red rash. My wrist and ankles were tight and painful. I have taken cipro in the past with no problem

I was on the 7 day dose for a sinus infection... after 5 days my infection was gone however my entire lower face and neck were covered with a rash...not fun.

HIVES,HIVES AND MORE HIVES,Took the 5 day course of Factive for sinus infection, day 7 started to get hives day 9 Hives on top of hives all over except for face. worse at ankles, have taken cipro before with no problems.

after a wk of use..I developed a rash on my face, neck and all over my upper body..my head and arms have been itching!!!!

After 4 days of use a rash covered my body from the neck down as well as swelling in the forearms and torso and upper legs. I am diabetic ,insulin dependent. It took over a week of Benedryl 3x a day to see some relief.

After taking just 2 doses I have developed a rash on hands and stomach. Sinus infection is almost cleared.

I thought I was the only one!!! Had horrible hives after 4 or 5 days of use.

After using Factive for 4 days I had a rash over my entire body and found out that it was a reaction to the medicine

I found out that I am allergic to this drug. I had taken Cipro before without any reaction.

After 4 days I broke out with a rash all over my body. Severe back pain and leg cramps.

I,m not an expert, but it seemed to clear my chronic sinusitis up while having to take less "pills" everyday. Don't let it dissolve any in your mouth because it doesn't taste to good
