this med works along with other medications I take .. most adverse symptoms of feeling tired or zombie is due to, as my cardiologist says, because your body is used to functioning on high blood pressure .. therefore you body goes thru a with draw like stage as it gets used to lower blood pressure .. as your body gets used to running on lower pressure, than most symptoms will disappear .. its scary...

My condition is high blood pressure. I was already taking other meds to lower my bp. It would spike ocassionally. My last readings at dr.s office was 146/75. Which is not that high. Dr prescribed hydrazaline 50mg 2x a day. I started taking it and instantly a really bad headach. I continued for a week and side effect got worse. Irregular heart rate with tightness, diarrea, lack of appetite, extreme ...

I also take levothyroxine 0.125mg 1xday, phenobarb 32.4mg 5xday,Furosemide 20mg 1xday, & amitriptyline 25mg 1xday. I am diabetic, type I. I just started taking the Hydralazine last month and one week after using this, I started swelling.

I take 50 MG 4 times a day. I started with 2 x a day, but it is effective for only 7 hours according to my pharmacist. The doctor changed it to 4xday. I have a computer alarm which helps immensely in keeping my use regular. Otherwise, my blood pressures from time to time rose excessively and caused angina.

I was on this medication for a month and sure it brought down my blood pressure along with me!! I was like a zombie, I was depressed, tired, thinking night right. I read the side effects and thinking crazy seems to be a serious one. I told the nurse she called me back 4 day's later and this point it was out of my system I felt brand new. She said, the Dr wants you to take half. I said, wrong try again I'm not taking it.

Started treatment 3 weeks ago because of chronic cough from years of using Losartan. Take 25mg 2x day. First noticed leg and foot cramps at night, then headaches. Blood pressure remains high, especially top number from high 150's to 190's. The headaches are constant after 3 weeks and no improvement in BP also dizziness is constant and most noticable when sitting. Will ask Dr. to change this medication to something else.

This was given to me at the hospital this past weekend and it nearly killed me. Severe adverse reaction, headache, heat rate shot up over 200 bpm, lost feeling in my hands and feet, shaking uncontrollably, couldn't breathe and was going to pass out. This was the scariest thing I ever experienced. Mine was injected so the reaction was much quicker than a tablet would give. This stuff is AWFUL.

glad to know why I have these brown splotches which would normally look like a bruise where I bump my arms on things. This shows as a "severe" side effect. Have to take it up with my MD.

My dad, an 81 year old man, with kidney issues, started taking 25 mg of hydralazine 3 times a day. Blood pressure would not decrease. Told doctor. Increased to 50 mg 3xday. My dad's blood pressure would not go down but raced up and he could listen his heart pounding by his chest and ears. he could not sleep. Stopped medication. Waiting to call doctor today. Heard about Losartan about a great substitute gentle enough for renal hypertension when not combined with diuretic drugs. Find out about natural diuretics. Ask your doctor. God bless!Read More Read Less

I have a headache 24/7. I can feel every nerve in my arms and legs when the dose starts wearing off. At night when I'm laying in bed my feet burn. I have to pee a lot. I am tired all the time. I hate this medicine. I can't wait for my next dr. appointment to switch to a different med.

I have been on this medication for approximately 3 months and was just dismissed from the hospital where I had to have 8 feet of my intestines removed. I was shocked when I started to review my medications and found that intestinal paralysis was one of the side effects.

Been on it maybe 2 weeks. It makes me lightheaded and dizzy. I lost my appetite. I am so tired but cannot sleep.Blurred vision and eyes watering all day long. Shortness of breath especially at night. Had to pee over and over 24/7. I will call dr tomorrow and change to something else. Also I do not need to get lupus which is what this causes long term.
