i found that if i take it about 30-45 minutes after eatting with the 8 oz. of cold water, that i'm relatively fine, however, taking it on an empty stomach in the morning made me terribly nauseated and nothing helped stop it for about an hour or two. it's really helping clear up my skin when tons of otc stuff didn't.

Severe pain in stomach. Tightness in chest. Tingling in hands and face. I'm 17 years old and thought I was going to die in my bed. Went to emergency and was told to immediately discontinue. These symptoms lasted for another three weeks. I was terrified it would never end. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT

I have only been using this medication for a couple days, but I have not had any problems such as nausea or vomiting. I eat (somewhat heavy) 2 hours before I take the pills morning and night. It does leave a slightly strange after taste for a while in your mouth but besides that I feel good for the rest of the day or night. Do drink a lot of water.

I have only been on this drug for 3 days. Drinking plenty of water but, I can not take any pills on an empty stomach. MRSA sores are healing real good and quick.

I'm taking this medicine for a rare disease which effects the sweat glands (can't remember the name, sorry). So far it's been doing great. Surprisingly my acne cleared up as well which was an extremely pleasant surprise. The side effects are horrible though. I vomitted about 20 mins after taking this medicine. I also had gas and slight diarrhea. The other reviewers were saying you should take it with food on your stomach, I'm going to have to try that because the nausea and vomitting are excruciating. But this drug definitely works!Read More Read Less

I am taking Doxycycline HYC for a staph infection. Not MRSA but it's just a skin infection. The first day I was instructed to take 2. I did, and had horrible stomach problems and was dizzy and lightheaded and couldn't concentrate on anything, that is, until I vomited. Every day since then I take one morning and night and it gives me stomach issues, dizzyness, and difficulty concentrating every time I take it. However, I am not vomiting anymore. I really don't wish to take it but I still am until the infection is gone.Read More Read Less

Took this for 3 weeks. Simple to take, but it made me horribly sick if I didn't take it with food. Not just crackers but a full meal, even though your not supposed to. It also has had no effect except to make the fever go away. The joint pain is still there and the skin rashes only increased. I'm starting on something else now, but this med really didn't work at all for me.

Made me really really sick a couple times, but took with food then and it was fine. Just ate some bread and hot tea, and felt better and medicine worked.

I have taken this drug over the past 2 years off and on to control acne rosacea outbreaks. Once the outbreak is under control, I can usually decrease my daily dose to every 2-3 days for maintenance and I am sometimes able to discontinue use for a time. The only problem I have had with this drug is if I take it in the morning on an empty stomach with water, I get very nauseous and vomit. The nausea lasts for an hour or so and eating crackers does not help. I find I do better taking it in the evening. I had taken tetracycline, which did help but I think this drug works better for me. It is the only thing that has really helped the outbreaks and topical treatments were not effective.Read More Read Less

Medication has worked against an infection very well, but... Within 30 minutes of taking it on an empty stomach I feel like I am going to vomit for the next hour or more and have headaches. Not pleasant. I tried eating crackers with it, bad idea. Vomited up crackers within minutes. When they say empty stomach they mean EMPTY.

This is the second medicine that my doctor has tried, in an attempt to get a handle on MRSA. The drug is working, however the side effects are what are horrid. 20 mins after taking the medicine it has been causing migrane headaches, nausea, vomiting, and just an overall dazed and confused mentality. Love the results hate the effects.
