I have been taking this Medicine for about a week now. I already stop smoking. But the Dry mouth symptons is bad!

was prescribed wellbutrin and was originally given the generic bupropion er and it made me feel great!! I stopped smoking and lost some weight too! But the next time I went to refill my prescription I was given another generic budeprion sr and I felt horrible after one week but continued to take it for another month and argued with the pharmacy that it didn't work and I wanted to have the original prescription but they still argue with me that it is the same thing and it just can't be. watch the spelling on your scripts!Read More Read Less

I have suffered from depression symptoms since I was 13. You name it, I took it. Most often, anti-depression meds just made me feel like an empty shell. I didn't feel sad, But I didn't feel happy either. All I felt was empty. So far my experiance with this has been good, but I am still in the first month. My energy is back up, and my moods have stabilized quite a bit. I have had a bit of a distraction problem though. I am not sure if this is a side-effect yet, so I will have to see. I only took this drug for a few days before I had to get off it. It was meant to improve my mood and help me get through evreyday tasks but insted it just gave me horrible stomach aches and made me even more lathargic and depressed. Even though this drug was a huge miss for me don't give up hopes on it just yet. You should always ask your doctor to try it out for a week and see if it works on you. I think I my body just reacts extremly to an ingredient in the drug or I could be a little bit too young. Results maybe different on you and you shouldn't have my review decide whether or not you should talk to your doctor about it. It could be a life changing drug for you. You should always start on the lowest dosage possible for you and work your way up until you find the right dosage for you. like most drugs its either black or white and there are usually no grey areas. I began taking Wellbutrin after about a year and a half of taking Zoloft. I had been seriously depressed and it was hard to tell if Zoloft was actually affecting me at all. I was still exhausted, forgetful...just generally out of it. Wellbutrin has enormously helped my mood. I definitely describe myself as "happy", although I still recognize dark holes I could fall into. It's much easier to just change my line of thinking now, whereas before that just wasn't an option. The main side affect I've experienced was jitteryness and trembling. This did not go away after a few weeks or months as they suggested it would, and is made dramatically worse if I miss a dose. Normally it's not enough to notice or bother me. I generally only notice it when I'm trying to do something that requires very fine motor skills, like painting a fine line, or, as I said above, if I miss a dose. On the whole I definitely recommend Wellbutrin for those whose depression is mainly "down" and aren't prone to anxiety. It's been great for me.Read More Read Less

I have not started taking the medicine yet so disregard my rating. My dr gave it to me to help quit smoking but after reading some of these reviews I am scared of this medicine. I suffer from anxiety and acid reflux and it looks like this medicine makes those situations worse. Maybe I wil try it for a few days. Would appreciate any encouraging words as I a afraid of this medicine after reading the reviews. I am at day 45 being smoke fee cold turkey so maybe I need to leave this medicine alone. I have only been on 300mg of Budeprion Sr for 5 days now, but I feel so much better! It has given me so much energy and I have my sex drive back. I am also taking Lexapro and Klonopin for anxiety. I would not recommend this med if you have anxiety as it can increase anxiety levels. However, like I said, Im also on anti-anxiety meds...so I feel awesome. I think this is a wonderful combo!

Although there are times I become blue, overall it works well.

I was prescribed Budeprion SR 150 MG about five months ago and it has worked well for me. I take at the same time every morning. It has helped me loose weight with proper diet and exercise of course. I did not go up to the two pill a day like the doctor told me to because the one pill a day was working fine. I enjoy life now and have the sex drive I lost long time ago. I am thinking about getting off of it little by little and go back to my old self. I recommend this medicine because it has improved my life style and got me on the right track. Good luck. I immediately began having extreme muscle weakness, so had to stop taking budeprion. I can however take BUPROPIAN without any trouble.

I've only been taking this medication for 5 days ,before that I was taking Lexapro but I feel about 80% better on the Budeprion and my sex drive is increased.

so far not good at all after 6 weeks still not feeling my best

I have been experiencing wild dreams that leave me exhausted in the morning and I have gained 20 lbs in 4 months . I exercise as much or more as prior to using the medicine and my eating habits have not changed. The weight gain is causing me to be depressed. I am going to taper off my usage and see if the weight gain stops. Ugh! They don"t tell you it causes weight gain!

I began by taking 2 150mg tablets per day, but it was too much - caused extreme nausea and dizziness. I backed off to 1 tablet per day and feel only slight dizziness at times. Mood is much better, but I have gained weight. Lost weight at first, but then gained and can't lose it no matter what. Anyone else have the same weight problem with this drug? Feeling fat while eating less and exercising more is depressing!

I left feedback a few months ago when I first started taking this. since that time I've tried adding lexapro and zoloft to it but no thanx. They make me sick,litterally throwing up and really really bad heartburn. I love budeprion. the only bad side effect I have is ringing in my ears. I'll put up with that to feel good for sure. I take 150mg twice a day,it's been 10 months. Im also losing weight easily with diet and exercise, I couldn't do that before. dizzy constapation up set stomach

I have been taking budeprion for anxiety & depression for a month now and so far I really feel it has improved my mood along with making my anxiety less. I switched from taking Prozac to this drug and feel that I now feel more like myself and able to focus with less side effects. I have had to take a stool softener recently from the effects, but I am very glad to have my sex drive back!

Generics do not work for me at times and most especially those from TEVA as this is. I have alerted FDA about this. And have been required by Drs to have the real stuff. Many Drs won't recommend these generics per the insurance companies and the doctors I deal with. I can say that taking this generic I went thru three months of depression and only when we realized what was going on in six weeks I began t come out of it and restored to my former self. My subset of BP is BP comorbid with ADHD which responds particualarly well with Welbutrion combined with Lamactal. In this case neither generic worked. It caused damage that I don't know h ow long will take to repair. Please beware if you feel different after a course of either of these generics.Read More Read Less

At first I was happier and actually liked doing things. After a few weeks though I suddenly had severe mood swings and anger came like a fuse blowing and almost got me in trouble. Stopped it after those few weeks.

I was taking Bupropion SR 150mg to stop smoking. That drug was working. However, when I transferred pharmacies, I was given Budeprion SR 150mg. This drug is NOT the same. I have feelings of anxiety almost to the point of panic and I feel like I'm riding on a roller coaster - only it's not fun. I am changing pharmacies again to get the other drug, both of which are generic for Wellbutrin SR 150mg. I do not advise anyone to take Budeprion.
