I found this ingredient in the product Sarna sensitive Anti-Itch lotion and it works immediately to relieve the symptoms of itchiness. As long as I use the product as directly indicated I'm fine. Initially upon first use I applied the lotion all over as I would with regular body lotion and after 10-15 minutes I experienced some tingling to the skin. Used in Calamine clear, Walmart brand to help with itching under arms from using a deodorant I was allergic to. It stopped itching right away. I used for a few days while trying to find an alum free deodorant that does not have baking soda.

Good experience except: Medicare Part D Insurance will not cover. Says it is an over the counter product and my Pharmacy says it is not. It is by prescription only. You cannot buy it of the shelf. I tried to get mine covered and it was a no go.

It is one of 2 active ingredients in Gold Bond Anti-Itch lotion. I have spent years looking for a lotion that would relieve the itching and cracking from my dyshidrotic eczema. It works better than I could have ever imagined. I've noticed fewer blisters as well and when I get blisters there's less of them, less spread out, and less irritating.

Pramoxine is active ingredient in a variety of products. (Price can vary greatly.) I've used Dermarest cream. It's also in a CVS brand lotion. It takes a little time to start working, and may burn slightly at first if skin is inflamed. May or may not completely relieve itching, but at least makes it more tolerable. Lasts for several hours and can be reapplied several times a day if need be. I've used it for eczema, also insect bites.
