I took this drug for one month in August of 2007. The first week I never thought about eating. After that, it took a little effort on my part, but very little. My appetite was much smaller the entire month on the drug. I lost 15 pounds that month. I just started taking it again, 3 days ago. Again, I do not even think about eating. I expect the effectiveness to slowly decrease throughout the month as before. I am not taking it again due to a return of the lost weight, but because I have stopped losing weight on my own and have been stagnant for two months. I highly recommend this medicine as a "booster" for people who are putting forth a good effort to lose weight on their own. I have lost 40 pounds in nine months. 15 pounds of it was during one month on the medication. The rest was at a rate of about 4 pounds a month without it.Read More Read Less

I have changed my eating habits with this drug and increased my water intake, but I have already lost 14 pounds and I have only taken it for 2 weeks! I am so excited. I still have at least 80 pounds to go, but I am on my way. In the beginning, I had trouble sleeping, but that went away after the first week. No jitters at all...

i LOST 11 POUNDS MY FIRST 2 WKS ON THIS PILL, IT SEEMS TO WORK WELL. I HAD SOME SLEEPLESS NIGHTS BUT NOT MUCH DRY MOUTH WAS A PROBLEM AT FIRST BUT IT MADE ME WANT TO DRINK WATER WHICH IS GOOD.

I have been on this medication for a week now and have lost 5 1/2 pounds in my first week. I am also in a doctor supervised weight loss program. It has completely supressed my appetite and I have to remember to eat. I have no cravings and a lot more energy. I also have trouble falling asleep at night. But so far so good!

I am currently taking adipex perscribed by my doctor. I am an active, healthy 25 year old woman and have never had a lot of success losing weight by diet and excersize alone. After talking to my doctor at a regualr check up, she suggested I try adipex to see if it helped at all. I was 225 lbs. at the time. Four months later I am now 185 and still going. I am constantly getting coments about my weight loss which is a new experience for me. It has been a very positive experience. I've been taking Adipex off and on for 9 months now. My fiance lost over 80lbs while taking this drug. His sister-in-law-45lbs, his brother 60lbs, and his sister-30lbs! My goal was 50lbs...needless to say, I still haven't reached it. After taking the pill for more than a month consecutively, it stops working. Wait 2 weeks, take it again, and it works again. I stopped taking it for almost 2 months after losing 20lbs, and gained every ounce back, while maintaining the same diet. Exercise is key to this drug. It isn't a miracle drug, but it definitely assists in the fight to be healthier! I would recommend it to anyone who has tried everything else to no avail.Read More Read Less

Its been a week on adipex and ive already lost 12lbs. its decreased my appetite in an asstonishing way, which was my major problem. i actually have to force myself to eat something, because if im busy or at work i even forget to eat because i feel no hunger whatsoever. the only side effect ive had is dry mouth, i have to drink a lot of water, but then again that helps me lose even more weight so better for me. i recommend this drug to anyone with dr. supervision.

I was able to lose the weight I had gained from my pregnancy. This was a very effective medication, and it gave me the energy to excercise more! I wish I could have taken it longer than 3 months!

I was finally able to lose weight that I was worried I'd never get rid of..I just wish you could take it longer tha 3 months!!!

I am very impressed with adipex. I went to the gym 4 days a week with 2 hour sessions for 3 years and never lost a pound, I lost over 30 pounds with adipex in just 2 months! But now I'm addicted too. My skin stays broke out and I cant sleep. Just be sure you only take what is directed and not keep getting other doc.s to prescribe more to you and end up like me.

I have struggled with weight for many years. Adipex has been very helpful. I lost 10 pounds this first month and feel great! I am exercising and eating healthy..with no cravings for carbs or sugars.

It worked great! I lost 20 pounds my first month and a total of 35 pounds over 2 months. But now I'm addicted, and am too afraid I will gain the weight back. Make sure you are mentaly ready befor you take it!

I have had no side effects of this medication. I am a very sedentary individual because of a back injury and I knew that losing weight would help aleviate the strain. Exercise was painful, sometimes just getting out of bed was an ordeal. I lost weight with this medication without ANY exercise. Although, I do feel that if I was able to exersice my weight loss would have skyrocketed. I lost 41 pounds in 8 months. This medication is a Godsend!

I would recommend this drug to everyone who has been struggling with weight loss. I lost 50 lbs in 4 months with calorie counting and exercise 5 times a week. I have kept it off for 2 years. I still have to work out and watch my eating habits. I have struggled with being overweight for my whole life. It some crazy side effects sometimes but it is worth it.
