I have been on paxil for 15 years and it has been wonderful in keeping me from having panic attacks and generalized anxiety. I have no side effects and it helps me have a joyful, positive life!

I suffered a vascual head injury in a car accident and had horrible headaches with no relief after trying numerous other things. My personality went from bubbly & outgoing to testy and confrontational. Within an hour of taking pail for the first time I experienced my first real relief. With the drug I am able to be myself and have somewhat normal life. I also have fibromyalgia and it helps with supression of the pain . Its been like a miracle for me.

I took paxil 10 years ago while under a lot of stress and panic attacks. I lost 10 pounds within a month. I took it 4 years and stopped. I am now back on it as the panic attacks and anxiety were back. It's really helped me stay grounded while under therapy and learning to cope.

Just a reminder: DO NOT suddenly stop taking this medication. Discuss with your doctor. I once decided just to stop and after two days became very depressed and suicidal. Scary.

Prescribed for " change of life symptoms". Very satisfied and thankful my doctor suggested this medication.Tried going off the medication. Went right back on it. I didn't realize how successful it was until I went off it. No complaints.

I have generalized anxiety dissorder with some isolated panic attacks. This medication saved me. I had gone into a state of depression and severe panic due to lack of finding any relief before I found paxil. The only down side is weight gain. I put on about 20 lbs for no reason and am generally slim.

This medication has been a life saver. If I hadn't started taking it over 11 years ago, I believe that I wouldn't be here now. I am so amazed that something so tiny could do so much.

I started on paxil in `01 and had only minimal problems like not being able to pee when on 40mg. I now take 10 mg a day and I am doing fine, but I still need a boost to get out in life.

I started out on 20 mg, but went up to 40 mg after 2 weeks. Now I take 40mg at night and 30mg in the morning. I still do not feel like it is working, but I have only been on it for 2 months. Side effect wise, I have been experiencing extreme day-time drowsyness.

Paxil has saved my life, but I'm a long term user that has noticed about a 40% weight gain. I've been breaking my back to work off the weight but it is very stubborn and won't come off unless I reduce or stop the medication; which also has it's side effects. I wish SK would introduce "Paxil Light" so that some of us that use this medication can stay relative slim.

This medicain really worked, but after about 3 days I had a seizer, I quit taking it. On the 3rd day I was having involuntary muscle spasms when I went to bed that night, similer to the "falling" feeling when most people get when they first gp to sleepI was fully awake when these spasms started. A few hours later (about 3 or 4) I had a seizer. So if these muscle spasms start, seek medical attention. This could be a sign of an onset for a seizer.
