This medication is no joke. I got this Monistat 1 inserted it two hours ago. I also used the cream. I did research before buying the product and it said MILD burning and itching. This hell. I am following the advice of others with pain relievers and ice packs. Get the 3 or 7 day option. This isn't worth it. Fire from hell literally.

HOT HOLY VAGINA HELL…why did I do this to myself. Like most of everyone on this page I woke up in the middle of the night to EXTREME itching. When I say extreme I mean EXTREME! Like many of y’all I wish I would have came here first before taking this demonic medication. It ate through my vag (and not in the good way). The itching was the worse part for me. I tried not to scratch but it got to the point I was shredding my vagina with my nails most likely taking off skin which probably made it worse. I would have rather went through 20 hours of labor with no epidural again than go through this. I am currently at the point the itching is coming to an end and I have the burning sensation but it is literally almost a relief to have the burning. I took the medicine at about 11:30pm I woke up at 3:20am to what felt like fire ants bitting me. I actually jumped out of bed thinking that is what it was. I immediately grabbed the instructions from the box and read “MiLd iTcHiNg”. Nothing about what I was experiencing was mild. I instantly jumped to the internet and found this page all while scratching and crying at the same time. I regretted everything in life at this point. I legit was apologizing for all the wrongs I done in my life thinking somehow that was going to make it better. I jumped in the shower at about 4:20am and grabbed the shower head and sprayed my vagina with cold water for about 45mins straight. This actually helped a lot. It is now 5:55am and the itching is almost gone. I will never use this product again. You couldn’t even pay me to use this…..It is not worth it, I don’t care how well it works after the fact. If possible, don’t scratch before using the product. I experienced an increase in itching once the ovule broke. The itching was intense. I thought I would go insane which is how I ended up here. The other treatments did not itch as intensely as this one. After an hour and a half, the itching turned into a mild burn which was manageable. You may experience discharge, discomfort, and dryness over the next few days. It works, but I recommend you save yourself the major discomfort and stick with Monistat 3 or 7.Read More Read Less

Save yourself. I’ve never had a YI before and thought this one day treatment would be simple. I awoke in a panic three hours after insertion with the most inflamed and red vulva I’ve ever seen not to mention the itching and burning that makes you want to claw your skin off. I’m laying here at 2:30am with what seems like no end in sight and even if this works will never again sacrifice comfort and sanity for speed here.

I, like everyone else on here, did not read the reviews until it was too late. I put the fire egg in about 2 hours ago and I am absolutely dying. It is burning and stinging worse than anything I have ever felt in my life and I haven't been able to find any options that have worked to subside the discomfort. I found these reviews too late. I found them at 4 in the morning, when I woke up with my girl parts aflame. What is this hell? Where is the big warning on the box telling you that third degree pussy burns are a known side-effect? Will it ever be ok again? Lord Jesus - it’s a fire. ?? I took the Monistat 1 due to antibiotics I was taking for strep throat. I applied the ball from hell around 8pm and by 9pm it felt like the mild itch I had turned into the most intense itching and burning ever. I instantly regretted it and thought something was wrong so I tried to get it out but the ball had already exploded. I was so uncomfortable with this fire sensation combined with itching. I found these reviews which made me feel somewhat normal that I wasn’t alone. I decided to put on a panty liner lay down and not move a muscle no matter how much it itched and burned and about an hour later it just felt like a warm tingly sensation that was a lot more bearable. I woke up in the morning with full relief but my goodness the hell I had to go through to get there almost had me in tears and I considered going to the ER. I do not know if it worked because I am over 24 hrs in and my snatch is still burning! I put this in around 130 am and here it 1040 pm and I'm still on ?? ??. This has made my kitten a monster. I woke up burning, itching and fanning my area. I have taken 3 baths today and sat with a fan on bottom. I was so concerned I begin thinking something else was wrong. Like others, I found this site a little too late I used monistat 1 to treat a yeast infection. At first, it wasn't so bad, but after two hours it started to burn and itch like no other. I just thought, "yay, it must be working." Well, it got to the point I couldn't close my legs.. confused, I finally got up and looked at myself. My vagina is 4x bigger than it normally is.. I was so scared I immediately watched the cream off. This is 5 hours in... I'm still having slight burning and still can't close my legs without discomfort. I've been using ice pack. This is my first time using monistat one after diflucan did not work. My hoo ha is definitely on fire. The itching is still there. It's been three hours since I inserted the ovule. I'm hoping these symptoms subside soon. I have taken a Benadryl and some ibuprofen. Hope this helps. I've also applied a cold compress which seems to be helping some. Praying this YI goes away soon. Writing a love letter to all of you darling ladies from my bathtub at 2am with another report on this absolute devil of a vag tx. I am only a few hours into use of this medication after application and I wish I could turn back the clear clock. I had mild external itching and now I am on fire inside and completely regret my decision for using this medicine. I now realize my evening is ruined on a Saturday as I can't go anywhere but lay on my bed in agony. This is far worse than any other OTC treatment I have used. Never again!!

I used Monistat 1 at night before bed ..after applying ..my vulva became more itchy..I took a Benadryl, took a warm bath , then I felt warmth and tingling and by morning time my symptoms were gone …still had medicine discharging but I felt a lot better and had no more itchiness or burning

Not sure if the insane burning and itching is worth it. About an hour after using it I would’ve done anything to go back in time and not use it. Ice helps but I definitely cannot leave the house. Please exhaust all other treatments before trying this.

I got this medication after experiencing some minor itching on and off for a week thinking it was a yeast infection. I put it on before bed and my COOCHIE WAS IN THE DEPTHS OF HELL!!!! it felt like I got gang banged for 3 days straight it hurt to walk, to sit, I couldn’t even touch. It was playing DJ all night. My vagina is on fire. I inserted the medicine right after midnight and was awaken shortly after 3am with EXCRUCIATING pain and discomfort. I took pain meds to force me to sleep and was still awakened by the burn. It’s fine by morning but my God, is the destination worth the journey? TBD.

this product works but the pain and burning is unbearable. i had to put ice pack in my underwear . im at work and uncomfortable. i would say to not do the one dose and just do the 3. if you dont care and just want to get it over with make sure you are off work for atleast 1-2 days lol
