I'm going to give it to your straight! Due to this being a one day treatment, the medicine is MUCH stronger than the three-seven day creams. Therefore, you will experience some major burning sensation, mild itching and some serious leakage. I inserted the oval four hours ago and i'm experience mild burning and the leakage is something serious, so ensure you're wearing some old panties and conforma...

3 weeks ago I purchased the Monistat 1 Day due for symptoms of a yeast infection. I inserted the medicine and used the external cream and decided to take a nap. When I woke up, my insides were on fire. I couldn’t close my legs; there was an intense burning sensation when I urinated. It was very difficult to wash; mild soap and water caused my genitals to burn. I made an emergency called my physici...

I wouldn't want to wish the vaginal itching and burning on my worst enemy. I found that pointing my junk towards a fan helped, but still itched like hell. I got great results since my YI was basically gone the next day, so it's doing its thing. I would suggest wearing a pad for the leakage and playing a video game where you can take your misery out on enemies.

This is the worst pain i have genuinely ever experienced in my life. I had a mild yeast infection that I wanted a quick fix for and was waiting for if it got serious to go to the doctor. Took it at about 10pm about 1am it began. It genuinely feels like a skewer of fire ants has been forcibly shoved up my vagina. This is my first yeast infection and it wasn’t even that bad but this medicine has me contemplating everything ive ever done to lead me to this point. Nothing about this is mild and the only thing keeping me going is reading the reviews of the poor women who came before me. If i dont survive this let my final warning be DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCTRead More Read Less

I am apparently one of the “luckier” ones, even though I sure don’t feel like it. I started taking this medication after I took antibiotics for a surgery. I did not have any unbearable burning that left me wondering why I used this product. It was easy to insert and since I thought it would be a one day treatment for my YI, I figured that despite all of the excessive leakage (through my yoga pants), all would be worth it. I was wrong. At first it seemed that this product worked, a few days later I began to suffer from extreme itching and felt like everything had relapsed. I used the cream that came along with the egg to no avail. It just doesn’t work. No burning pain from the cream that others have experienced, but no long term relief either. I will not use this treatment again. It’s a waste of money. Read More Read Less

I purchased and used this product before reading reviews as I have known many people who have used Monistat products without issue. The insert was easy to use and having it come with a tube of cream for external used was nice. After inserting I read reviews, panicked and dug it out, at this point, only moments later the capsule had already dissolved some and had left the cream everywhere. I figured at this point whatever happens, happens. I was fine at first, then a strange itch/burn combo right at the opening occurred for about 30-40 minutes, subsided and now feels fine. I dont know the full effectiveness yet but I wanted to share that yes there was less than ideal sensations occurring but that they did go away relatively quickly. Read More Read Less

Omg. Much like everyone else in these reviews all I can say is don’t. Just don’t. I was trying to save a couple dollars by using otc instead of going to urgent care and the burning and itching this is causing (which is 1000 times worse than the YI) is making me seriously consider going to the ER. I’ve lived in pain daily for the last 30 years and this is worse agony than the muscle spasms I live with. I can’t sleep, I can’t lay still, this is HELL! How was something like this even approved!?! I wish the person who described this as “mild” to experience this hell a day for each user they put through this torture. DONT use the cream. I was nearly in tears until I read the one reviewer who said to wash it off. Please. Don’t use this. Read More Read Less

This drug should not exist. The “mild” burning was a pain scale of 8. After 12 hours, the pain lowered to a mild amount. Do not use this!! Do the 3 day. I have had no problems with it and it’s worth having no pain. I’m seriously considering telling the FDA. Who approved this crazy dosage? Ladies, we have to let our fellow sex know by word of mouth not to ever use this. No one should have that type of pain to cure a yeast infection.

WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT USE THE CREAM THAT COMES WITH IT. THE OVULE DIDNT EVEN BURN ME BUT THAT DAMN CREAM BURNED ME TURNED ME RED AND MADE ME SWELL!!! As soon as I washed it off the swelling and burning went away. I was sore for a bit after. I was wearing a pad but I had to take that off because my labia was so irritated from that cream. The ovule definitely makes you itch a little after putting it in and it is a pretty intense itch that you have to fight through. Luckily the itch doesn’t last too long and once it’s gone I did feel a lot of relief. It’s been just about 24 hrs since and I feel a lot better. No itching, burning or swelling. I can definitely feel that there is still medicine up there though. I’m just gonna stick the the monistat 3 from now on lol Read More Read Less

Dragonflame < This Demon Egg Daenerys didn’t need dragons to set kings landing on aflame…She just needed to drop these little eggs filled with hellfire. Holy sh*t. The YI wasn’t so bad that I wanted to call the doctor and I figured I’d give this a shot. The anti-itch description is laughable. The demon egg made everything 1000000x worse. I feel like I’ve burned my partner in crime to a crisp. Like most of these poor ladies, I came to these reviews too late. There isn’t sufficient warning out there. Worst mistake of my adult life and that includes getting back with my ex. Don’t do it ladies. Not worth it.Read More Read Less

While inserting the medication I accidentally released the egg sooner than I wanted but too late to take it back out. I inserted right before bed, I did not use the cream as I didn’t have any external itching. I wore “period panties” to bed. I didn’t have any adverse effects from the medication. I slept well, with discharge in the morning and throughout the day soI wore a pad all day that I changed often. It’s been about 24hrs since I inserted the medication and my symptoms appear to be going away. I would most definitely recommend and use this product again although I’m hoping I never have to use it again!! Read More Read Less

WHAT IS THIS? My vagina was just being electrocuted! But instead of fast death it was slow ride and you can’t get off. Compare it with 35 hours of labor circling my room like a wild wounded animal praying it would stop. Definitely nothing mild about it. Finally took tree Benadryl, considering going to the ER. Would like this somebody who wrote “Mild itching and burning” in side effects section experience this torture. Hell on earth.

I am about to head to bed 48 hours after using it (both the insert and the cream). I did the insert at night and went to bed right after, so leakage wasn't significant at all until the day after (and that's on me for not using a liner). Still some leakage today too, but not bad. Other reviews had me scared but I had mild relief almost immediately and by today (day 2) I forgot for a while I was even having any issue at all for hours at a time! I think I caught mine quite early, so maybe that's why I felt no burning or increased itching with the insert, and why it worked so fast for me. The cream is the only part I don't like- felt like it caused additional burning/itching (that wasn't part of the existing yeast infection discomfort) which was bearable and faded, but it is not fun in the first 20 min of applying it. Maybe the area was just too sensitive already. Overall, it worked really well and really quickly for me and I'd use it again as long as an infection wasn't too intense already Read More Read Less

As most other's have said, thank goodness i found this thread. I've had YIs in the past and so wanting to skip the hassle of going to an urgent care, I opted for this at the drug store. I am about 2-3 hours into this medication as of rn, and I noticed a much more intense itching than what my symptoms had been giving me. Bracing myself for the worst I have called out of work for tomorrow. No "burning" as of yet but the itching is definitely persistent and impossible to ignore. Taking a warm bath as we speak but I am not looking forward to getting out and having to lay back down. I applied a small amount of the cream, but washed it off to the best of my abilities shortly after reading the reviews here. Wish me luck :/ Hopefully it actually clears out my YI.Read More Read Less

This medication is no joke. I got this Monistat 1 inserted it two hours ago. I also used the cream. I did research before buying the product and it said MILD burning and itching. This hell. I am following the advice of others with pain relievers and ice packs. Get the 3 or 7 day option. This isn't worth it. Fire from hell literally.

HOT HOLY VAGINA HELL…why did I do this to myself. Like most of everyone on this page I woke up in the middle of the night to EXTREME itching. When I say extreme I mean EXTREME! Like many of y’all I wish I would have came here first before taking this demonic medication. It ate through my vag (and not in the good way). The itching was the worse part for me. I tried not to scratch but it got to the point I was shredding my vagina with my nails most likely taking off skin which probably made it worse. I would have rather went through 20 hours of labor with no epidural again than go through this. I am currently at the point the itching is coming to an end and I have the burning sensation but it is literally almost a relief to have the burning. I took the medicine at about 11:30pm I woke up at 3:20am to what felt like fire ants bitting me. I actually jumped out of bed thinking that is what it was. I immediately grabbed the instructions from the box and read “MiLd iTcHiNg”. Nothing about what I was experiencing was mild. I instantly jumped to the internet and found this page all while scratching and crying at the same time. I regretted everything in life at this point. I legit was apologizing for all the wrongs I done in my life thinking somehow that was going to make it better. I jumped in the shower at about 4:20am and grabbed the shower head and sprayed my vagina with cold water for about 45mins straight. This actually helped a lot. It is now 5:55am and the itching is almost gone. I will never use this product again. You couldn’t even pay me to use this…..It is not worth it, I don’t care how well it works after the fact. So, if you plan on using this medication, please use with caution. Read More Read Less

If possible, don’t scratch before using the product. I experienced an increase in itching once the ovule broke. The itching was intense. I thought I would go insane which is how I ended up here. The other treatments did not itch as intensely as this one. After an hour and a half, the itching turned into a mild burn which was manageable. You may experience discharge, discomfort, and dryness over the next few days. It works, but I recommend you save yourself the major discomfort and stick with Monistat 3 or 7.Read More Read Less

Save yourself. I’ve never had a YI before and thought this one day treatment would be simple. I awoke in a panic three hours after insertion with the most inflamed and red vulva I’ve ever seen not to mention the itching and burning that makes you want to claw your skin off. I’m laying here at 2:30am with what seems like no end in sight and even if this works will never again sacrifice comfort and sanity for speed here.

I, like everyone else on here, did not read the reviews until it was too late. I put the fire egg in about 2 hours ago and I am absolutely dying. It is burning and stinging worse than anything I have ever felt in my life and I haven't been able to find any options that have worked to subside the discomfort. Sitting, standing, laying down, it doesn't matter — it's all a nightmare. I pray that it starts to get better soon, and that it works. If I have to experience this only for it to not knock out the infection, I will lose my mind. Wish me luckRead More Read Less
