I'm going to give it to your straight! Due to this being a one day treatment, the medicine is MUCH stronger than the three-seven day creams. Therefore, you will experience some major burning sensation, mild itching and some serious leakage. I inserted the oval four hours ago and i'm experience mild burning and the leakage is something serious, so ensure you're wearing some old panties and conforma...

3 weeks ago I purchased the Monistat 1 Day due for symptoms of a yeast infection. I inserted the medicine and used the external cream and decided to take a nap. When I woke up, my insides were on fire. I couldn’t close my legs; there was an intense burning sensation when I urinated. It was very difficult to wash; mild soap and water caused my genitals to burn. I made an emergency called my physici...

The last time I had yeast infection was in 2009. I got it from taking bubble baths not knowing I was allergic to the soap I was using. Fast forward here in 2023 in late December. I was taking a shower and I forgot my dove unscented soap on my truck. PS I’m a truck driver. I decided to wash my private area with some body wash. And in the back of my head I said I’m going to get a yeast infection. A couple days later I saw yellow discharge. There was no itching and no order. So yes I knew it was a yeast infection. It wasn’t a severe one where it look like cottage cheese. So, when I finally had the time to go shopping, I purchase Monistat 1. I got the 1 instead of the 3 and the 7 because my period is about to come and I feel very uncomfortable inserting anything why my vagina is trying to get cleansed out. Prior to my purchase I did read the reviews . I I saw a lot of people being uncomfortable while using this medication. Today is January 7 I did take it yesterday. It took about 20 minutes for the reactions to kick in. Now the way I describe the chemical reaction in my vaginal area. I was working I did take it around 1:00 PM and it felt like a tingling ticklish sensation at first then I felt it was particles inside my vagina. I would not describe it burning I would not describe it as a cooling feeling either. I just knew something was present in my vagina, but the thing that bothered me the most what’s the tickling feeling because the tickling make you want to grab your vagina and stop whatever tickling you. I did not scratch it because it was not itching and it wasn’t hurting. It was a slight discomfort where I was moving around to stop tickling. It lasted no more than 30 minutes. Now before taking this, I was wearing a sanitary napkin because my discharge was all day. So of course I put another sanitary napkin on when I took the Monistat 1. Because commonsense will tell you this thing is not going to disappear and your vagina. It Has to come out and the egg shape medication is pretty thick. I wish I could show pictures because now I’m looking into my panties and I don’t see any Yeast. Read More Read Less

Hey, just another victim that didn’t read the reviews. I’m currently laying with my cooch towards the fan, so mad at myself for even doing this. I didn’t even feel this much discomfort from my actual yeast infection. Never doing this again. The oral treatment is way better. Definitely worth the doctors visit. Don’t put yourself through this.

I am so glad that I looked at these reviews because they have helped ease my mind 100%. About an hour after I put the molten lava egg up my cooter, nearly unbearable burning came as if I was a volcano erupting as the medicine was exiting. I was freaking out until I found these comedic reviews, personally I would recommend a warm bath and to sit and read these reviews. Helps you get your mind off of it and make you see you’re not alone! Take a deep breath you got it!

As others have said HORRIBLE. the first time I purchased this I never read reviews and thought I had the worst YI ever as I had to buy an additional tube of vagasil itch cream. Well here we are again- on antibiotics and the trusty YI is also here. Bought this and yup same experience as last time. My vagina is on FIRE. Currently laying with my vag pointed at a fan at the end of December which slightly helps. Glad to see it was not only me. Definitely cures the infection you just have a horribly itchy vagina for days (mine didn’t even itch with the YI)Read More Read Less

Thank god I found you ladies here. Reading all of these identical reviews has been a great distraction and some comedic relief during the last hour of pure hell. Everything they say is true. The treatment is worse than the actual infection. A man definitely created it, and another man at the FDA gave it the seal of approval. Then the third stooge wrote “mild” burning and itching on the box. I inserted the egg at 10 pm and was woken up at 2:00 (it’s now 2:57 and I’m able to type but still very uncomfortable). It’s agonizing itching followed by a burning sensation from the gates of hell. Someone said it feels like 100 fire ants in your vag. Correct. Somebody somewhere needs to pull this product from the shelves. Can y’all imagine if men had to take a medication like this? There would have been a class action suit by now. The little egg bomb literally wakes us all in agony at 2 am and we’re supposed to function at work/home/family life the next day? The only upside has been finding this common thread. It better actually get rid of the YI or I’m gonna be extra pissed!Read More Read Less

i 31F am 38 weeks pregnant. my symptoms were clumpy cottage cheese discharge with no burn, itch, discoloration and or smell. i heard about this medicine through google and i figured since i was already so close to my due date i would give this medicine a go. i inserted the egg shaped pill at night before bed and within a few hours i woke from my sleep experiencing extreme itching. so i applied a dime size amount of cream that came with the monistat for relief which brought the itching to a more tolerable discomfort. then went to the bathroom 3 times and each time i passed urine, i noticed there was mild burning which was not a symptom i had before i inserted the egg shaped pill. i assumed that the medicine was working since this was my first time ive had a yeast infection and decided to tough it out for a least three more days. the second night i experienced severe discharge along with burning and itching. i then took a bath to try and calm myself from this medication i thought would relieve all symptoms in one day. after the bath i applied more of the cream that came along with the monistat on the outside of my area until again the symptoms were tolerable. the third night i was still experiencing discharge but the burning, swelling and itching had eased. i took another bath so the discharge was less messy. the morning of the 4th day i did not have any burning, swelling, itching or discharge and decided to tell my midwife i was under the impression i had a yeast infection… the midwife told me to not use one day treatment because the dosage is so concentrated and it’s always best to use the 7 day treatment. it is now day 6 after using the monistat 1 and i don’t think ill ever use it again or recommend anyone to use it. im not even sure why it is sold at anyone’s convenience. WHAT IS THIS!? About 4 hours ago I used this...stuff...to help treat a YI. Everything was fine and dandy until about an hour ago when I abruptly felt the urge to itch my lady bits. It all fell apart from there because this UNGODLY burning followed closely behind. That seemingly innocent itch led to me swiftly waddling my way to the bathtub where I have remained for the past 30 minutes. I am writing this review to warn all of the unsuspecting victims. If you dont like the feeling of straight GHOST PEPPERS inside your vagina, please be cautious. I will continue to pray for your souls daily. As for me, I am waiting for the good father above to take me home because ..LORD.. I have entered the gates of hell. Good luck to you ladies. You are going to need it!!Read More Read Less

Yes its fire! Yes it burns and itches! BUT IT WORKS! So quickly. I have a LOW pain tolerance typically. But I will always put myself thru it for the convenience of how quickly the infection goes away. It's less than 24 hours of suffering. That's how I look at it. It works, even if it SUCKS burning and itching wise. To me, that's to be expected. It's literally like a little bomb, executing the infection inside your vagina. Of course it sucks. But again, how quickly it goes away with it, makes it worth it to me. <3 For those who can't make themselves go through horrible burning and itching for hours, don't take this. Go the long route, or the doctor route. Also, if you have a different kind of vaginal infection of which there are many, this isn't going to work for you and it's going to be an even worse reaction. <3 #longlivethecomplicatedchemistryofvaginasRead More Read Less

u guys in the reviews had me SHAKING i had a whole panic attack because i clicked on the wrong page & got "attacked" with these negative reviews but i left it in & everything was fine !!!!! i had some very mild itching & slight burning for about an hour and a half and it was gone after. went to bed, slept & woke up to the obvious leakage / discharge, took a shower & i feel great !!!! i believe it depends on how severe your infection is and how your body reacts to certain medicine. i still prolly will never touch monistat 1 again lol. stay safe ladies just go to the doc & get fluconazole !!!!Read More Read Less

I have used Monistat 1 multiple times before with no issues. I inserted the capsule around 10pm and at 2am I woke up with a horrible burning sensation inside my vagina. It was so uncomfortable and lasted for about 30 minutes. Finally it subsided and I was able to fall back asleep. It worked but the burning is awful. I have read other people’s experiences and they sound very similar. I wonder if there was a change in the formula to cause the intense burning. The medication works but the burning sensation is torture! Read More Read Less

I have an extremely high pain tolerance and I am texting my mother and crying to her like a small infant…. this burning sensations is a nightmare. Actually woke up from my slumber due the burning fire within my coochie. It seems like a lot of women are having the same experience- itchy but bearable the first two hours…then the burn. I’m giggling at the description from some comments. However these are all accurate. Absolutely torturous. I pray it goes away soon- I wouldn’t wish this small white egg of hell and agony on my worst enemies!! For all the women on here scrolling through these comments in the middle of the night…you are not alone LOL. XoxoRead More Read Less

Although this medication was effective-due to the side effectives I will never use this product again. We've all heard the saying "the treatment is worse than the disease", well in this case it's so very true. I had a mild yeast infection, purchased the Monistat 1 combo pack-inserted the oval as instructed-a few hours later I thought OMG what the heck is happening-my vagina was on fire, the itching and burning was out of control, uncomfortable is putting it lightly. I looked at my vagina in the mirror and it was so bright red I thought I was bleeding-these symptoms lasted for about 2 days and believe me it was 2 days of hell fire inside of me. By day three, the burning and itchiness had subsided for the most part. This product should come with a warning of "YOUR VAGINA WILL FEEL LIKE ITS BEEN SET ON FIRE, AND IT WILL ITCH LIKE YOU WERE BITTEN BY THOUSANDS OF MASQUITOS', the warning label needs to be re-worked.Read More Read Less

Jesus CHRIST DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Thank god for this review section you women sharing your experiences are the only thing keeping me sane right now. I have had yeast infections before and have used monistat in the past with no issues. I WISH I had read this before buying the 3 day option was literally right next to it and I could’ve just grabbed it but nope, had to pick this one. Oh my god. I cannot believe the level of itching and discomfort I am experiencing it literally woke me up. Took it probably at 10pm and it’s 2am and the itching WOKE me up. That has never happened before. I am so uncomfortable I am so concerned that I’m gonna have to call in sick to work tomorrow? This is insane. My yeast infection wasn’t even that bad I’m so annoyed at myself for not reading into this option before buying but I was like oh it’s monistat you’ve had it before but THIS little one day egg thing is something I will be warning against for the rest of my life because I would not wish this itching on my worst enemy. Horrible!! As others have said I wish I had read the reviews before using. The burning and itching have had me in near tears. Jumped in the shower for some relief. Have been using cold washcloths also. Took benedryl trying to help with the itch. Never again. Didn’t feel the pain an itch with the YI. Do not buy this

I have used this product a couple times in the past and used it just last night (10/19/23) worked just as expected. Inserting is easy and I always used panty liners after. About 3-4 hours later I felt the discomfort (not concerning) it was about as bad as its been before, but always tolerable. I just turned on a meditation to focus on while I tried to go to sleep. No extreme pain for me as others stated they had. I'd say same amount of discomfort as any of the other versions of this. It always works for me. Read More Read Less

The most important thing I learned is to read reviews before inserting ANYTHING into my body. This was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had, the itching had me in agony for hours. How is this FDA approved, a male must’ve made It because oh my god I cannot think of a different reason why something like this would be made let alone approved.

I wouldn't want to wish the vaginal itching and burning on my worst enemy. I found that pointing my junk towards a fan helped, but still itched like hell. I got great results since my YI was basically gone the next day, so it's doing its thing. I would suggest wearing a pad for the leakage and playing a video game where you can take your misery out on enemies.
