I'm going to give it to your straight! Due to this being a one day treatment, the medicine is MUCH stronger than the three-seven day creams. Therefore, you will experience some major burning sensation, mild itching and some serious leakage. I inserted the oval four hours ago and i'm experience mild burning and the leakage is something serious, so ensure you're wearing some old panties and conforma...

3 weeks ago I purchased the Monistat 1 Day due for symptoms of a yeast infection. I inserted the medicine and used the external cream and decided to take a nap. When I woke up, my insides were on fire. I couldn’t close my legs; there was an intense burning sensation when I urinated. It was very difficult to wash; mild soap and water caused my genitals to burn. I made an emergency called my physici...

On Amoxicillin for a tooth infection. Yeast infection came on quickly. I decided to do the 1 day capsule because using cream for 7 days burns. I inserted the capsule before bed. Within 30 minutes the amount of pain and burning from my vagina was so intense I couldn't sit or lay. I opted to try a 1 cup of baking soda in a very warm bath with my legs opened to reduce the discomfort. I worked like a charm. Next day feeling great!

I’ve read reviews and the stories are awful. Honestly, when you first insert the oval there is a burning sensation. Depends on your pain tolerance. I purchase the pack that comes with the cream. The oval deposit will melt so buy panty liners. The burning sensation let’s me know it’s working. I had no extreme pain like the other reviews mention, but everyone is different. All the other symptoms I’ve read in these reviews make me think of allergic reactions and or other underlying conditions that surfaced when using the 1-day. It is stronger than the 3-7 day creams. I personally never had problems with this product ever and I’m prone to yeast infections when I take antibiotics of any kind. I highly recommend but I also recommend consulting your doctor. It is 1:05 and I am currently in the tub with the detachable shower head spraying myself on high pressure. I used product at approximately 10:15pm. I laid down to watch tv and try get ready to sleep. Burning and itching began at about 11:45pm. I was concerned that the leakage had gotten onto my urethra hole and caused the burning, so I went to the restroom and began wiping. I guess the capsule had completely melted, it felt like never ending wiping for the paper to come back dry. I tried urinating hoping it would help, but no relief. The shower head is keeping the edge off for the moment and my husband brought me Benadryl. I’m hoping for the best since I work early in the morning. Read More Read Less

Bought 1 dose hoping it would work faster. BIG MISTAKE. Put it in yesterday afternoon - a few hours later the pain, redness and itching is insane. Still home today, completely immobile sitting in my tub trying to get this death cream out of me. This is no joke. I have birthed a child without an epidural…this product is HELL. If I could I would camp out in the feminine products aisle of Walgreens just to warn any and everybody to stay AWAY from this. Its that bad!

I've used this before. I inserted the egg to no pain at all. I used the egg being one day to get relief as my yeast infection graduated to stomach pains. The cream does burn if you do that. Remember though it's an antifungal cream so it burns and itches but peroxide burns when you put it on a cut. Works well just make sure you put it deep enough and pain will be nonexistent

This is my 2nd YI…..the 1st was a few years ago & I was able to get meds from my doctor. This time I wasn’t able to get in to see my doctor, so I opted to use the 1 day treatment, since I’m constantly working. I inserted the ovule around 8:00 pm and was perfectly fine. Around 10:00 pm, I experienced a severe burn inside & around my who ha. I thought I was having an allergic reaction, until I read reviews. After being a crybaby for a few minutes, I tried ice, but it wasn’t as effective as I was hoping for. My final solution was to take Tylenol, lay over my fan (blowing high cool air around the who ha), & pray lol. After 5-10 minutes of this, I started feeling better to where I could lay down without thinking I’m going to die. It’s currently 11:00 pm and so far all I feel is a tingle…hoping it stays like this for the rest of my treatment! Read More Read Less

The reviews of burning are NO JOKE. I had, what I believe is, a very mild yeast infection. I tried some probiotic/yogurt & low sugar diet for a few days before deciding that I needed to go for some medicine. I made a mental note that 1200mg of medication at once seemed like… a lot… but I start my period in a few days and would have to treat this before or after. Terrible mistake. 1200mg of medicine is indeed too much. I had very little itching, little to no burning and mild swelling before treatment. After inserting the ovule, I was fine for a few hours and thought I was one of the lucky ones. However, after peeing is when I realized what everyone else here is talking about. I’m trying to sleep to avoid how ridiculously uncomfortable & painful this feels, but to no avail. If you’re dead set on OTC, go for one of the 3/7 day packs with lower dosages, but you should likely have your doc call in oral treatment. you’ll thank yourself. Read More Read Less

I am usually used to taking a pill for yeast infection and this is the first time I have used this method. So, I don't know much to compare to. But, I would say I really liked it. After I inserted, it was really painful and uncomfortable for about 30 minutes. I took pain meds, and slept it off. Woke up feeling way better. It's been 3 days and I feel almost 100% good. It wasn't comfortable like the pill, but it sure did the job in a few days.

I started noticing mild symptoms and discomfort 3 days ago but I assumed it’s cause my period was coming to an end but it was getting progressively worse. 2 days later I bought Monistat 1 combo pack from CVS. I inserted the oval pill and applied the cream, Saturday evening. (I had not read the reviews yet) 2 hrs later experienced the most UNBEARABLE BURNING OF MY LIFE. It lasted 2-3 hrs. I was starting to panic and get scared. It hurt so bad. I woke up to no burn, less discharge, and a faint inch around my pubis. My vagina is way less sore and my symptoms have improved greatly (24hrs later) hopefully by tomorrow I’ll be 100%Read More Read Less

NEVER, EVER, EVER AGAIN!! Holy crap, I have never experienced pain like this. I used the prefilled applicator one. Boy oh boy was that a mistake!! I wish I had read these reviews prior to putting that crap in my body. I put it in about 9:30 pm woke up at 2 in excruciating pain, burning, itching and throbbing. I immediately got in the tub to wash out as much as I could. I couldn't even wipe without pain. My vagina absolutely swelled shut it was so massive I couldn't sit down. After a short period of crying and immense discomfort I went to the E.R. I was hoping for a quick fix but this sh*t should not be on the shelves. It made everything 10 times worse. It's worth it to just get diflucan and wait a week. Read More Read Less

I'm on hour 4 after the devil egg. I'm reading reviews while trying to "push" this thing out of me like it's a tiny demon. I'm glad I took Tylenol and i.b. profen when I did the treatment, It might be the only reason I'm even remotely sane. I have eczema and I'm now worried that I have fried my insides with this...thing. I'm not going to be able to sleep, not possible. They need to make saline vagina popsicle for post treatment pain. Its only hour 4, we will see if it was worth it.

I was lost at the beginning. Once I applied the cream, Immediately I felt the burning and itchiness. Then started reading the reviews. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews first. Overall it wasn't that bad to where I couldn't handle it. I applied it before bed and slep threw the burning and itchiness. Woke up itchiness was gone just a minor burning. Didn't burn when I used bathroom and not alot of leaking. I would definitely use it again.

Horrific experience with this medication - I ended up in the ER of our city's Women's Hospital in excruciating agony. After about an hour I started experiencing severe burning inside, I couldn't sit, urinate, I tried showering to douche & wash it out & ended up screaming & crying down the phone to my partner who rushed home from work & took me to the ER where they had to flush it out of me. Never would I recommend this. I've used Canesten since with no issues.

Holy moly, just go for the Diflucan if you are able to! I tried this little devil egg from hell out to avoid a dr. appt. and regretted it so hard! I read the reviews after inserting and prayed that I wouldn't have a negative experience such as the many I read. Wow, I have never wanted to shove an ice cube up my vajay-jay so bad in my life. Inserted around 11:00pm, awake at 1:00am for an hour of what can only be described as some sort of sick torture. I literally felt like a fire breathing dragon took residence in my lady bits after eating a carolina reaper pepper, followed by flaming hot cheetos. I literally spent an hour trying to wash this nightmare out. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!Read More Read Less

Seen many bad reviews of this product before I used it and was debating on getting a different brand but I decided to try it and I’m glad I did I had no burning from this product and only the itching I already had from the yeast infection woke up the next day and have not had itching since! Of course everybody’s body will react differently but I will for sure use this again if needed! Just make sure to wear a pad once you’ve inserted it

okay so i read the horror stories of this product unfortunately after i took it. but this was my first severe yeast infection. and i went with monistat 1. my symptoms seemed to not be lessened or worsened. there was slight â??burningâ? felt more like it was warm down there. nothing that was unbearable. that was in the first 3 hours of taking it. the itching was still very prominent, even with the itching cream. iâ??m now about 12 hours in and it does burn when i pee (didnâ??t have this symptom before taking this product) but i think itâ??s from itching and it irritating it, which is making it burn while peeing. my swelling and redness has went down A LOT. i suggest taking it during the day (thatâ??s when i had the most leakage and discharge) and not wearing underwear to bed so your kitty can breathe (which will help your yeast infection a ton from what i read) the itching only makes it self known... when i wipe. but other than that, if i donâ??t touch down there, i have no itching. i recommend this product! and iâ??m almost into my second day with it! my yeast infection has improved! fingers crossed for the remaining 6 days! good luck!
