I started taking birth control for irregular periods, but then my need evolved to birth control. I first took Seasonique but switched over to Daysee because it was essentially the same thing and was cheaper. I have had no problems with it at all. It works great, I've never gotten pregnant despite my sexual activity. The only side effect I would say was that my skin improved and my acne decreased...

It's almost a month now but I've been spotting every other week it seems. Will follow up with my PCP about this. Otherwise no mood swings so far.

I have horrible periods, so bad that I prefer to skip them. My OBGYN prescribed Seasonique, but my insurance changed it to Daysee because they're cheap bastards. Needless to say it did the EXACT opposite of what I wanted. I toughed it out for three months and bled straight the entire time! It ruined all my panties. The only positive is it is effective at preventing pregnancy, but who's gonna want to have sex with you when you're a constant blood bath?

Switched from generic loestrin due to moodiness. It got rid of the moodiness/pms but wasn't worth it. It made my previously nonexistent acne horrible and painful. I mean I had acne everywhere- and I've never had bad acne before including in my teens. And it messed up my eyes so that wearing contacts was almost impossible. The acne thing got a little better eventually, but still worse than normal. I didn't have any spotting until the first week before the 'period' pills. Then it was a week of spotting and a week of moderate period. Heavier than my other BC's I've tried, but lighter than mine without BC. Cramps weren't horrible. It did last a full week which is annoying. Not sure if the lethargy this month has been from this or something else. Some stubborn weight gain- but that's all BC for me. Not horrible breast tenderness. No pregnancy so there's that. But since that isn't really why I'm on it, I'm switching back to a different version of the generic loestrin. I tried this for the full 3 months but it just wasn't working for me. I think there were just too many hormones. Read More Read Less

I was on Lo loestrin Fe and absolutely loved it!! I had no periods, no acne, and no weight gain but because my insurance stopped covering it I was forced to switch. At first my doctor put me on Sronyx. I began to have acne flare ups, heavy menstrual periods, and horrible cramps that I never had before so I went back to my doctor and she prescribed me Seasonique. When I went to the pharmacy I was given Daysee, the generic form, and it has worked great. My acne has cleared up and I only get my period once every 3 months and it usually lasts 3-4 days. When I started Daysee I did not experience any breakthrough bleeding which was a plus!! Now I am moving and the pharmacy I am at carries the generic Amethia so I hope that this one works as well as Daysee has worked for me.Read More Read Less

It works great, I've never gotten pregnant despite my sexual activity. The only side effect I would say was that my skin improved and my acne decreased. My PMS and period symptoms are much more manageable and I have shorter lighter periods. I switched to a different birth control in hopes of a cheaper one and I had mood swings and cramping and bloating. As soon as I got back on Daysee, everything got better.Read More Read Less

I've been spotting for 2 weeks, following up with my doctor. No mood swings or headaches since I switched to this form of BC.

I've been on Daysee for five months now because my insurance company is charging a premium for the brand name "seasonique." The pharmacy and my insurance claim that it is exactly the same, but it isn't. The amount of hormones in Daysee is lower. I've been very dissatisfied with this pill. I've had break through bleeding for a month.
