I started taking birth control for irregular periods, but then my need evolved to birth control. I first took Seasonique but switched over to Daysee because it was essentially the same thing and was cheaper. I have had no problems with it at all. It works great, I've never gotten pregnant despite my sexual activity. The only side effect I would say was that my skin improved and my acne decreased...

It's almost a month now but I've been spotting every other week it seems. Will follow up with my PCP about this. Otherwise no mood swings so far.

I was on Camrese for 3 months with no issues, then my insurance changed and will only cover Daysee. I was iffy about starting this just by the way the packs for organized. It is week 2, and I have been spotting brown/red all week. I have been on birth control for 3 years and this has never happened to me. I also have had an increase in acne and mood swings. This is the worst birth control I have ever taken and am already switching back to my old one. I don't reccomend to anyone!!

This is my first time taking a 3 month pill. Everything was fine until the last week of month two, Iâ??ve been spotting/bleeding for two weeks straight. Had slight cramps one night, otherwise none of the typical period symptoms. Iâ??ve gained 8lbs, but canâ??t say if thatâ??s due to the pill or other factors (holidays, lack of self control). Iâ??m sick of the spotting!

I have been taking this birth control pill for a few years now. I take it first thing in the morning each day. My periods have been right on schedule at the end of the third month, with no spotting in between periods. I do get some cramping while on my period but it is manageable with a couple Advil.

Do not take this pill! I read reviews and was skeptical when my doctor prescribed it but I gave it a shot. First 3 months, I developed major anxiety, suffered from horrible migraines and occasional cramping. Halfway through month 5, I started spotting and cramping. I bled for 4 weeks straight, and cramping was just bad enough that I had to take an Advil everyday. I would NOT recommend this form of birth control to anyone.

I started this birth control about 3 months ago... At first I loved it, but within the end of the first month on it I started spotting which is totally normal. But I have been spotting for 2 months now, it is mentally draining and just gross. My doctors told me that it is very normal for this pill and to tough it out until the very end up the pack. Honestly I have one week left of the third month and Im ready to throw it out the in window.. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone. It is not worth putting your body through all this.Read More Read Less

I'm currently on week 6 of this birth control. The first day on it was awful. I had horrible mood swings and I felt bloated and nauseous all day. Then the next two weeks after that were completely fine and normal. All of a sudden during week 3, I began spotting. And not just any spotting - gross brownish clotty blood spotting. I have been spotting like this for the last 4 weeks and I'm extremely unhappy. The doctors recommended that I stay on this birth control for at least 3 months for my body to adjust to the pill. However, I'm reaching my end's wit with this pill. I'm going to try and tough it out for the next couple weeks but I'm definitely going to be switching if this spotting isn't done soon. The daysee pill is easy like any other pill. But it’s disgusting. At the end of month two going into month three it’s been a nonstop spotting. And not spotting. But literally 3 month old brown gross clotty blood everywhere. I probably wouldn’t recommend a 3 month period stopping pill to anyone after this. I’ve truly never been so grossed out with myself in my life.

I started taking this due to pain in my upper abdomen during periods. Pain is very minimal to mostly non existent most times. I started spotting around the end of the 4th week which was expected. I am 4 weeks into the 2nd pack and STILL bleeding.. 13 weeks of bleeding. It's enough to wear a light tampon or liner every day, all day. It hasn't stopped. Some days it is light and brown, other days it almost seems like I am going to have a full period. No cramps the first 3 months. I have had consistent cramps for the last 3 weeks of this pack. I think I'd rather deal with 2 days of a heavy period and pain a month than deal with this for 9 more weeks. Doctor prescribed seasonique and I was given daysee by the pharmacy as a generic. Loseasonique (generic) wasn't cutting it anymore, I had non-stop bleeding for 2 months straight; so I was put on the highest version of Seasonique, or the generic version: Daysee. Unfortunately, Daysee is just as much of a nightmare as a regular period for me. I still have cramps, I still have spotting and abnormal uterine bleeding. What's worse is I have terrible breakouts on my chin & t-zone area. I'm also hungry ALL. THE. FREAKING. TIME. I hate this birth control.

My insurance changed to this generic, I have been taking Camrese for years. I read the side effects other's were having and started my pack. Within a week, I started having cramps, not all day but definitely period cramps. I am on my 10th week now and have been bleeding for nearly 6 weeks. It started as spotting but now I have to wear a tampon to get through the day. I wanted to finish the 12 weeks and see if it would go away but it's starting to wear me down, not only physically with the bleeding and cramps but mentally. Needless to say, I wish I would have never starred taking this crap.Read More Read Less

This was the worst BC I have been on. I started taking Daysee for dysmenorrhea and suspicion of endometriosis to regulate my hormones. Let me tell you, I bleed for about 2 months on this pill. Not just spotting, but the point where I had to wear a pad every day and it felt like an actual period, pain and all. I felt miserable on this pill and was sad all the time and did not feel like myself [even those close to me noticed a change]. I also started to get headaches about every other day and began to have a sharp pain in my left hamstring the second month into this BC. Made my blood pressure shoot up and I also gained about 5-7 pounds in the 2.5 months I took Daysee. Could not even make it through the third month. Went to my gyn and requested a new pill with different hormones. Maybe this pill might work for you, but it made me miserable.Read More Read Less

I started this medication about two months ago. A month and a week into the medication I started spotting. I have been spotting for 3 weeks straight now, with increasing cramps and blood. I contacted my doctor and told her I would no longer be taking this pill.

Prevents pregnancy, but I have been on Seasonique or the generic Amethia for 9 years. My insurance decided it will only cover this cheap piece of garbage now. I'm about 1.5-2 weeks into my first pack, and I have been spotting since about 2 or 3 days in. Spotting bright red blood. Never spotted once while on Seasonique or Amethia! Also, the way the pack is set up is moronic. You start at the bottom of the pack, which is where week 1 starts. Then you go to the top, which is where week 4 starts, and then you go to the middle, which is where week 9 starts. Confusing much? Read More Read Less

I hate to write bad reviews but this birth control is just awful. I switched to this pack so i would have my period every 3 months instead of once a month. I started the pill and immediately started getting migraines after. I never had any breakthrough bleeding or abnormal period like the other reviews. Instead i had really bad breast tenderness for a whole month, i was super tired all the time, vaginal discharge, and hot flashes. Its definitely one i do NOT recommend. Everyone's body reacts different to birth controls but i haven't heard one good thing about Daysee. Read More Read Less

The first 3 months was great, no period, short spotting on the last week of the 3 month period. I was travelling around the world for 2 months, and this worked. No mood swings, no period, amazing. Everything changed when I started the 4th month. I gained nearly 10 lbs and started heavier spotting for over 2 weeks. Then on my last week of the 3 month, where I supposed to get my period, I got my period and I have crams too now. Daysee only works the first 3 months of use.

I started using the generic version which is the Daysee for acne purposes. My OBGYN recommend me to use to have four periods a year.. sounds good , but there was a catch.. In the second month (November) it was on and off bleeding. I called to ask questions on why this was happening to me the nurses all told me "Everyones body is different and reacts differently to the drug." I could understand that but it ruined so many of my panties and my breast are always in pain feeling very tender, mood swings. I'm to the point where i'm just about to stop I'm on the yellow pills I'm not sure exactly whats going to happen. I called the nurse to ask there were NO Help at all. The only thing this medicine has done for me was clear my skin, it is what i wanted in the beginning but at this point i just had enough of the abnormal bleeding. Good Luck if you continue to use this drug.Read More Read Less

I've been on Daysee for about 3 months now and I've only had one week of no-bleeding the entire time. I've also been experiencing horrific cramps, acne, back pain, and moodiness. I know my insurance switched me because this is cheaper but it's extremely ineffective and not worth it. I'd rather go back to having my periods every 28 days instead of for 3 months straight. I even called my doctor and she said it's completely normal and that I shouldn't stop the pill. I was on Seasonique/Quasense for 4.5 years and never had problems like this (except when I was on strong antibiotics for several weeks, which I then expected some breakthrough bleeding). I even missed a few pills and never had more than a few spottings. It's absolutely ridiculous.Read More Read Less

I began taking Daysee because I get acne and migraines during my period. I spotted during first 2 packs and on 3rd pack 1st week I started bleeding heavily. It's been 2 weeks and I am still bleeding and my migraines are worse than ever!
