I have not been taking this medication long enough to know if has helped lower my triglycerides. Based on the research I did before going on Vascepa I am sure it will do that. What I do know is that my mild depression and hot flashes are gone and my joint pain seems to be less. About one week into taking it and I have hives on my belly and a rash on both forearms like poison ivy. Not worth it.

I don't have fishy burps like with Lovaza, doc switched me a few weeks ago and I like it a lot.

I've been on Vascepa for approximately a month now. It's too early to tell the overall effectiveness but it appears to be working very well. Also, there is no fishy taste like with Lovaza.
