My pharmacy switched me from Enpresse to Myzilra when my insurance renewed in Oct 2012. No pregnancy, so I scored very effective. Same pill, same time, every day. Very easy to use. But, since October, I have gained 21 pounds!! For the past 4 years, I have eaten the SAME breakfast & lunch, and a normal dinner serving. I have exercised the same as well. I had managed to lose 74 pounds, until this p...

I have been on Birth Control Pills for years and have never had a negative experience. WOW...this past year has been horrible for me - since they switched my pill (a generic of a generic...) Cramps, weight gain, headache and mood swings..... I finally gave up and went back to doc and requested something new. Avoid this if you can. I know they say these are the same and they ARE NOT... This has rea...

I would avoid using this birth control. This was not helpful for acne and had some adverse effects. There are other birth control options to discuss with your doctor. I would research anything that is prescribed before taking it. Also, your pharmacy is a great resource to answer any of your questions.

My periods were shorter and I didn't have cramps. I was switched to the generic version and had 20 pound weight gain, headaches, sleep hallucinations and horrible acne. I never had acne as a teenager so this was not expected at all. I finally quit taking this and within a week my acne is better and I overall feel better.

I have been taking this pill for about 3 years. Within the last year I have had horrible mood swings, and no sex drive. I also had horrible hot flashes. I stopped taking the pill last month and I can already tell a difference.

I started taking Myzilra about 6 months ago to prevent pregnancy and help with acne. I haven't become pregnant and my acne has almost disappeared completely. However, I have gained 15 pounds after being the same weight for years and the past two months I have had the worst mood swings, cry almost every day without reason, and have had the WORST breast soreness to the point where I have to take pain medication to ease the pain. I am switching to a different birth control medication and would not recommend this birth control.Read More Read Less

I've been on this birth control for about 3 years and am overall satisfied with it. My periods are regular and last 3-4 days and never have cramps at all. The only negative aspect is gaining 10 pounds while still eating the same.

I have been on this birth control for about three years now. I have no complaints at all. This has been very effective and I have had ZERO side effects!! Would definitely recommend to anyone. Although, everyone IS different, so it isn't going to work for everyone. I was underweight and gained a few pounds, my period has regulated (Started for irregular periods) and I haven't gotten pregnant. So I love this! Not planning on changing anytime.

I was prescribed Myzilra for my painful cramps I had dealt with for years. I was uncertain about going on birth control, but this pill has changed my life. My cramps are virtually gone. I used to have to take several hot baths and 2-4 200mg ibuprofen every few hours for the first day. Sometimes I would puke, lose color in my limbs, shake, faint, on to of the unbearable pain. When I started the pill the only side effect I had was tender breasts, but they grew a little so that's why. By the next period my cramps were extremely manageable. My periods are now regular as well. This pill is wonderful and effective. Read More Read Less

I can not say much for long-term use yet since I am taking this for pre-menopausal symptoms. I have been taking for about two weeks and I feel some nausea, have some edema and have had a few migraines with mild irritability. I will come back and post in two months and give another review.

Took for 3 months hoping it would even out...The only time I have had worse cramps and acne is not being on the pill at all.

I seriously hate this birth control. My doctor was supposed to put me on something that would clear up my acne and this has only made it worse. And when I start a new pack, the first pills make me so sick, like vomiting and sore breasts. I would not recommend..

I had managed to lose 74 pounds, until this past 9 months, when the weight started to creep up. I have tried everything to lose, but in return, the scale continues to go up. I am not satisfied at all with this result, and switched back to Enpresse today at my pharmacy.Read More Read Less

Overall it is a good birth control with minimal side effects. The only side effects I had were sore breasts and mood swings the week before my period. I experienced very mild menstrual cramps. I also was nauseated almost all of the time during the first 3 months of use. After the first couple months, I began burping every time I drank water (bizarre symptom). I think that every woman is different and will have different side effects. After using this one for a little over a year, I decided to switch to another type of pill. I don't know if only Myzilra makes me burp a lot or if it's any birth control yet.Read More Read Less

My first week of using myzilra, i had breast pain, extremely sensitive (raw) nipples, migraine auras, and headaches. I am currently on my second month and these symptoms have gone away. I am not able to tell my moods just yet. I will try this pill for 3 months before deciding. I want to say though that I still feel cramps though they are minimal. I used to take kariva then changed to azurette then to myzilra.

Myzilra made me very fatigue and zapped me of all of my energy. I started to experience headaches and after a few days my allergies started acting up. I never get allergies this time of year. I truly feel that Myzilra lowered my immune system because now I feel like I am sick all of the time.
