I started off taking Seasonique, but realized that I would not have to pay for the generic Camrese with my insurance, nonetheless, the same company makes both pills. However I haven't had any breakthrough bleeding or spotting. In addition, I do not have a decreased sex drive, haven't gain any weight and never had an acne problem. Its never failed me and I am healthy!

Was on the drug for about 2 1/2 months and I missed 2 doses so I took them as soon as I realized and later that night I took my normal dose, 30 min later everything went down hill. I rushed to the er with really high bp, couldn't breathe and had a racing heart. I had numerous test done and labs drawn and everything is pointing to the bc. 4 days later and I am on a beta blocker to keep my pulse on ...

The same issues as other ladies. The first three months on camrese were fine, I starting the second phase and at month two I have been bleeding and clotting for two weeks!!!!Try it if you have no other options but I'm stopping the pill. My husband has a vasectomy so I won't get pregnant, I was only using them to not have a period!!!!!

Started spotting halfway through second pack and al the way through the third. I thought it was due to switching types (I went from the monthly type to this). I started the new pack had no problems the first pack and then half way through the second have started spotting. Contacting my doc to switch back.

I was on Seasonique for over two years and it was a miracle drug. I didn't get pregnant, had no spotting, no side effects, and my PMS went from horrible to nonexistent on this birth control. My insurance company/mail order pharmacy started sending me Camrese. The first three month pack was fine. About a week into the second three month pack I started spotting and it didn't stop. I was suspicious of the effectiveness of the generic even though it's supposed to be identical to the brand. Between week 2 and week 3 I threw that pack out and started a new pack of Camrese. That pack seemed fine. Now I'm on the fourth pack and back to heavy spotting for 5 days straight. I'm convinced the generic isn't working. If I'm pregnant I'm suing everybody. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow and asking for a "brand name medically necessary" prescription for Seasonique.Read More Read Less

I used seasonale (including it's generic jolessa) for years, then switched to seasonique 2 years ago and loved it! My periods were still only ever 3 months, but instead of 5-7 days, it was 2-3, and the cramping and bloating felt more like gas. absolutely wonderful! The last time I filled my prescription, they used camrese instead. The first 2 months were fine, but in the third month, I never stopped bleeding. It was like period, followed by period for weeks. I'd missed one day (doubled up the next like I'd always done in the past) and woah! made no difference! There is something wrong with this! It's the generic to seasonique, but is nothing like it! I didn't mind the little weight gain i couldn't get rid of on seasonique, but on camrese, I'm losing waaay too much blood!Read More Read Less

I started Camrese 5 days ago. I took Seasonique and Seasonal in the past and never experienced any problems. I had to stop taking Camrese today because I've been very sick for the last 4 days. I'm not positive that it's from Camrese and neither is my OB/GYN, but I can't tolerate how I've been feeling anymore! I haven't been able to get any relief. These are the symptoms I've had: nausea, (that won't go away for long) headache/migraine everyday throughout the day, dizziness, foggy thinking, vision problems, stomach discomfort, (too much acid and gas) bloating like I've never had before, insomnia, mood swings, irritability, weepiness and because of these I've only been able to tolerate crackers and ginger ale. I'll take the long periods and heavy bleeding any day over this!Read More Read Less

I started Camrese back in July. The first two months were great. When I started the third pack I spotted the entire month. The spotting was like I was having a period. Then my period came on. It was horrible. I lost so much blood. Before starting this birth control, my periods was great. Now I'm having heavy periods. I stopped taking this pill. Also I gained 18 pounds. My advice is to stay away from. This pill.

I was taking a monthly pill and decided to try this one and have had three horrible periods since starting 9 months ago. I get terrible PMS, am extremely irritable and emotional and have painful cramping and a period that lasts about a full week. Monthly pill was MUCH better and switching back ASAP.

I love this pill! it comes in 3 month packs and you only get your periods once at the end. I never had spotting and I had easy short periods. I stopped taking while my husband and I tried for a baby, and after our son was born, I went rite back on it, happy as can be. Best part, since you only get your period if you take the yellow pills.. I could plan WHEN I wanted it to come.... !! if I saw that I would be taking them when we were ment to be on holiday.. I just start the next pack till I get back from vacation and then take my yellow ones.. LOVE ITRead More Read Less

I started on Seasonique before camrese was available. The first 3month pack, I experienced nearly constant spotting. It was very annoying. However, after that I haven't had a period. I also had the usual peri-menstrual mood problems about 7 weeks in, but only the first pack. It's been about 2 years now and I LOVE it! Didn't notice any change (except a whole lot more money in my pocket!) when switched to camrese. Bye bye periods!!!!

I had been taking Seasonique for years, but once the generic Camrese came on the market, my pharmacy has not had Seasonique in stock on multiple occasions, forcing me to take Camrese instead. Camrese has been effective for birth control, but after two weeks on it I get spotting that does not stop for the rest of the pill pack. For this reason I would not recommend it.

I wanted to take Camrese to decrease my periods and lessen my PMS symtoms. I take my pill at 10 o'clock every night. I have never been late taking it. 1st week: I was sick with a cold, so I don't know if it caused me headaches or not. Towards the end of the 1st week, many of my pores were clogged and I had a few pimples. I think I might have also been a bit emotional. 2nd week: More pimples. Mid-second week, I felt horny at times. My breasts were really sore and grew a bit. 3rd week: nothing new 4th week: More pimples and clogged pores. My PMS symptoms surfaced, but they were not as bad as they would be without the pill. I began to spot a little. End of 4th week-5th week: Lots of nausea. Mostly mild, it would get worse if I thought about the nausea I was feeling. Gradual increase of spotting over the 2 weeks. I took the placebo (yellow) pills on my 6th week. My actual period started on the 2nd or 3rd day. My blood was thicker than normal (which is supposed to happen because estrogen thickens the blood). My period flow varied from light-heavy. I experienced mild cramps the first day, but then had bad cramps most of my 3rd or 4th day. Morning was the worst. 4th or 5th day on my period, I had cramps when i woke up just like on my 3rd or 4th day (very bad). 7th week: Breakouts and spotting stopped. 8th week and on: Pimples came back and I keep getting more. General experiences: Regarding mood changes, I think I'm more emotional on the pills. I feel negative (sad/mad) more, but I do not know if it's because of all these pimples or not. Before the pill, I didn't get pimples often, but I didn't rarely get them either. My skin was normally at its worst 2 weeks before my period (when I PMS). I'm not totally satisfied with Camrese, but the reported side effects aren't as bad as some other BC pills. I'm probably going to switch to another brand because my face breaks out way too much now. If you never had a problem with pimples, I suggest trying Camrese out.Read More Read Less

I've been on Camrese for about 9 months now. The first three months were great, and I loved having a period once every blue moon. I also felt like it might have increased my sex drive. However, the next pack I started breakthrough bleeding the first week of the third month, and it didn't stop until I went off for the month. I decided to give it one more go, and the same exact thing is now happening. On top of that, my sex drive has taken a nose dive. It may just be my body, so I would recommend still trying it. I started on this pill because of heavy uncomfortable periods that interrupted my life. At first it was great! I lost weight, was happier and felt it was a huge gift. But in recent months I have been feeling crazy. My moods are so intense (not my usual self). I feel like I can't handle little things. I am drinving my boyfriend crazy. Also note to all taking this pill. You have to be consistent. Take it at the same time every day. I will immediately spot if I am off scheduel. Also I traveled to a different time zone and it was nearly impossible to get in sync. Read More Read Less

I started Camrese after coming off of Depo Provera, which stopped my periods for three months when it wore off. So far Camrese has lowered the count and size of my ovarian cysts, which is wonderful, and has been an effective form of birth control for me. The only negative thing I have to say is that I have had a definite increase in body acne and body hair since I started it, but it's more of a nuisance than a real problem. I have also gained about five pounds, but that's easily fixed. One thing though - I forgot to take it for two days in week 7 and I ended up starting a 12-day period despite taking them normally from then on out. I haven't reached placebo week yet (I just started week 10) but so far I would definitely recommend this birth control to anyone who asked me about it. It's great for women who are looking for a simple birth control option that they can stop at any time and will cause minimum side effects.Read More Read Less

I have been on Camrese for about 6 months now and have had to split the pack to 2 months at a time because my mood was suffering. I am fine for the first 6 weeks then in week 7 I get VERY emotional, experience panic attacks, cry all the time, and feel very depressed. I am thinking of switching back to a monthly pill.

I saw the bad reviews and i was weary about taking this pill, but surprisingly i had no side effects and its worked wonderful. We must remember that medication works different on everyone. Not because someone had a bad reaction it means everyone else will. Try it and see for yourself.

I was on seasonique for about a year, then switched due to insurance reasons. I spotted in the beginning but haven't had an issue in over 9 months. Camrese is definitely day/time sensitive, but that just comes down to me being responsible about it. The only thing I do note is that I feel when I do get my period my hormones are in overdrive. Sorry to be blunt, but it's caused my libido to go into overdrive and I've become hyper sensitive to orgasms. I have gained 5-10 lbs and my acne is a little more frequent than I'd like, but overall, no major complaints. Read More Read Less

I was previously taking seasonique for two years but switched two camrese because my insurance would no longer cover seasonique. I've been on camrese for three months now and since I began the new pills I started developing acne as well as spots of melasma on my face. I am confused to why I would be having these side effects when my pharmacist explained to me that camrese is "identical" to seasonique and I never had these effects while taking seasonique. I am unsure to whether I should pay the extra money to take seasonique again or switch to a whole new type of birth control?Read More Read Less
