I started off taking Seasonique, but realized that I would not have to pay for the generic Camrese with my insurance, nonetheless, the same company makes both pills. However I haven't had any breakthrough bleeding or spotting. In addition, I do not have a decreased sex drive, haven't gain any weight and never had an acne problem. Its never failed me and I am healthy!

Was on the drug for about 2 1/2 months and I missed 2 doses so I took them as soon as I realized and later that night I took my normal dose, 30 min later everything went down hill. I rushed to the er with really high bp, couldn't breathe and had a racing heart. I had numerous test done and labs drawn and everything is pointing to the bc. 4 days later and I am on a beta blocker to keep my pulse on ...

I would not recommend this pill for anyone who already has depression. It made everything worse and now I have severe anxiety. It did its job, I'm not pregnant. But I do have my period early by one week. The only positive things that happened that I never spotted and period symptoms are better, and a period every three months is nice. However, there are far too many cons than pros and overall a terrible pill. Take in consideration of the immense hormone change and if you feel your body isn't up to that, trust that and look for another pill or form of contraception that best suits you.Read More Read Less

I started this pill because I have ovarian cyst that never go away. So far it's doing it's job. I have noticed no weight gain in fact I've lost some weight, and I don't exercise or diet. I do notice a lack of sex drive, but other than that no other side effects so far.

I took Seasonique for years and didn't even realize I'd agreed to switch to a generic brand (looks identical) until two months into it I could not figure out why I'd had so many migraine headaches and realized the name on my pill pack was "Camrese". This is the worst pharma Generic switch out I've ever experienced in my life and I am quitting these pills tonight and calling my OB/GYN tomorrow to find out how to switch back right away.

I liked this medication. I did not experience weight gain or mood swings. However, I had bad vaginal dryness and noticed some hair loss. The vaginal dryness was embarrassing so I decided to switch medications.

Started out great. The first 6 weeks I had no spotting at all. However, I did have extreme breast tenderness for almost 2 months!!! The start of the 7th week I've had a period/spotting for a total of 28/30 days!! It just won't stop!!! I finally gave up and switched back to my monthly birth control. I couldn't take it anymore. I knew that there was going to be spotting, but for that long is absolutely ridiculous!! Other than the spotting and breast tenderness things were fine. No extra mood swings or sadness but, I would not recommend this birth control! Read More Read Less

I took Camrese for the entire three months as it is a three month pack. I had a lot of spotting for the first two months. So much so, it was almost like a regular period - only a period that wouldn't stop. By the third month, the spotting finally stopped, and I didn't have my period again until the last week, when I was supposed to. During that last week, when I was on my scheduled period, I had horrible, horrible headaches. They usually started a few hours after I took the yellow pill. I never get headaches. The only upside to my scheduled period is that I didn't experience any of my usual cramps. In addition to the above side effects, I also had extreme breast tenderness. My breasts became larger and they hurt all the time. My boyfriend had no problem with my larger breasts, but I certainly did. Sometimes I'd just be sitting there and felt stabs of pain going through them. At times it hurt to put on a bra. The breast tenderness only went away on the last scheduled period week at the end of the three months. On top of all those side effects, I've also had mood swings. I've been depressed even before the pill, so I can't blame my sadness completely on the pill, however, I can blame my newfound anger on the pill. I have never been an angry person, but found I was experiencing a lot of completely irrational anger while taking Camrese. I would become very angry at my loved ones over minor things and it was hard to calm myself down. I've never experienced anything like that. The only good side effect I had was that my chronic acne finally went away. I've had acne my whole adult life, but it really did completely go away after taking this pill. It only came back a little bit when I was on that last yellow pill week (period week.) Everyone is different, but after my personal experiences, I would not recommend this pill. I am switching to a monthly pill. Read More Read Less

This is the first birth control I've taken and so far it has been a breeze. In the first few weeks I could tell I was a little more emotional than normal but it didnt last long. I haven't had any breakthrough bleeding and my experience with it has been nothing but wonderful. I definately recommend it over others because I've seen the side effects of my friends and mine has has close to no side effects!

I am just finishing up my first 3 months of Camrese and started my period right on time. I did get migraines for a couple of days right before my period started. I rarely get migraines. I have been having shortness of breath, asthmatic type wheezing, heart palpitations, and head pressure while lying down. I got a heavy period in the middle of my 2nd month. I have been spotting all through this 3rd month. Taking stock in Panty liners. Hoping after this menstrual cycle, I will only have one every 3 months with no-spotting. I will be discontinuing this product if the periods come monthly and spotting continues to be the norm. My purpose for this product is not birth control,as my husband has had a vasectomy, but to limit my blood loss. I have a genetic anemia. Read More Read Less

I have been on this birth control for a year. I actually lost weight when I switched to this birth control. HOWEVER, I have noticed extreme hair loss. I use to have thick hair now my hair is thin and gets greasy fast. Also, the spotting is very inconsistent I won't have a period for 2 months then I will have spotting for a month.

I was on Amethia before my pharmacy switched generic brands. This pill has been absolutely horrible. Within the first week I was severely depressed to the point that I didn't want to get up and do anything. Luckily, the second week I started feeling better, but some days I really have to fight the urge to not sink back into depression. On top of that I have never had bad acne and this pill has caused my face to go absolutely haywire. I will be switching back to Amethia after this pack is finished.Read More Read Less

The pill worked great, but the downside was that it caused me to gain about 20lbs.

I was on Seasonique for several years before switching to the generic brand (because of insurance) I like it just as much, if not more than Seasonique. Although I can't last the entire three months without a period, I have mine every other month to prevent the breakthrough I know I would have otherwise, which is better than every month! It has also decreased the intensity of my period to about 2 heavy days and 3-4 light days. I normally don't breakthrough, haven't gained any weight, and haven't gotten pregnant so it is doing its job! My only complaint is my migraines flare up when I do get my period. Overall very satisfied with this pill! Read More Read Less

My experience with Camrese was horrible. The first cycle was fine. The second cycle, I gained 5 pounds in 3 days, my acne got worse, I was consistently nauseous, and I developed a sun allergy after hardly getting sun burned my whole life. I experienced drastic and quick changes in my mood, going from depressed one minute to extremely irate the next. I was started on this pill to control my extremely painful periods, but these side effects are worse. I'll take the pain over jeopardizing relationships with my inconsistent moods. I would not recommend this pill to anyone.Read More Read Less

I have only been on Camrese for 3 days and they make me extremely nauseous. I use them because I have a cyst on my left ovary which is caused by ovulation. Birth control pills prevent ovulation. Different strokes for different folks, but me personally didn't like this pill. I didn't take it yesterday and today no nausea!

Due to my age and smoking I should not be taking this pill, I have gained 23 lbs and my vision has changed to the point of where I had to get glasses after having lasik. Tender boobs, mood swings and I think its high time I get off it and get my tubes tied. My doc is a complete fool for allowing me to stay on this pill. My obgyn told me you could take this pill, it was for smokers. Yeah right. He also said he didnt want to tie my tubes that since I take a lot of medication why not just take one more pill. Im so frustrated. No cramps, no break through bleeding, no acne, more headaches, the weight gain is my biggest concern. I hadnt gained a lb in over 10 years until I started taking this. I hope it comes off quickly once I stop and after reading the risks to smokers, I stop today.Read More Read Less

I started off taking Seasonique about five years ago. Two years after starting, I had to get the generic Camrese because Seasonique prices went up. I was skeptical at first. But I must say, I love it just as much. I only have periods once every three months. I have not had any unusual spotting. The only time I spot, is when I miss a dose or forget to take it. Ladies have to realize, you are to take the pill everyday at the same time of day. You can't cheat and postpone your period by missing the yellow pills either. If you do right, I will do you right.Read More Read Less
