I have had no negative effects from this treatment and have been taking it for almost 3 years. I think this goes to show that all types of birth control effect women differently. The only side-effect that I experience is that I do not have a period anymore, which to me is a good thing.

I have taken a birth control previous to this one and got off. This is my first month on this pill and it has been beyond horrible! I feel so nauseous that I wake up at night. I've experienced a weird, super sensitivity pain between my breast and underarm. My acne has not gotten worse but hasn't been much better. I suddenly feel like I'm going to vomit and feel extremely lazy. I'm getting off this ASAP!

I started taking Gildess after Generess Fe stopped offering the discount card. After 1 month on Gildess I started getting extreme mood swings. I would get emotional and mad for no reason. I also had awful cramps at the start of each period. I tried Gildess for 3 more months, but the mood swings and cramps only got worse. I called my doctor today to switch.

I was prescribed this BC to stop the heavy bleeding from my period, which was believed to be causing my severe anemia condition. The first few days of taking the pill I felt like I had a terrible flu. Nausea, headache, dizziness, cramping. Then, all went away but during the second or third week, I began having light bleeding everyday and this lasted for three weeks and still going. I had to get use to wearing a liner everyday! I have been very fatigue and thought it was from my very low iron levels, but after 6 weeks of iron treatments, my level are normal, so thinking it is this pill. I also feel depress alot, random spurts of crying, which is not me. Bottom line, worked to stop my heavy bleeding, but won't continue after finishing this pack. Read More Read Less

I started taking this Birth Control to help regulate my periods (I would miss them often due to being a Varsity athlete). The experience was terrible! Yes, it did make my periods come on time, but for the first whole month I had spotting. It gave me terrible acne, and INSANE mood swings. I would sit in my room and cry for no reason, constantly argued with my parents for the littilest things, and even had horrible tender breasts. I know this is a side effect, but within two months my breasts went from a B to a DD.. Most painful thing I’ve experienced. This pill did not agree with me. Side effects were so bad I couldnt even handle it another month.Read More Read Less

I don't know how others have a hard time with this pill. I take mine every night before bed, taking pills in the morning make me sick. My periods are normal and on time. No breakouts, I have cramps during my period (only the first day) nothing that midol can't fix. Been taking it for awhile before I decided to have a baby and am back now on it. Guess I'm just lucky.

After the first week of taking this pill I became very dizzy all the time, depressed, and extremely moody. My fience even noticed a change in my moods and complection. I cried for no reason, I got mad for no reason, and my face broke out really bad. After four months of continuing the medicine nothing changed. So I switched! One plus, I didn't gain weight on this drug where I have with other birth controls.

I haven't even been on this pill for a month and there is an EXTREME change in my mood. I have been crying non-stop for the three weeks I have been on it, my face broke out like crazy and I am absolutely exhausted all of the time no matter how much I sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night crying for no reason, I'm so depressed all of the time and every little thing has been setting me off and making me upset or angry since I started taking this pill. I'm bloated like no tomorrow and now my hair looks unhealthy. I slept for 9 hours last night but I'm so exhausted that I can't get up. My entire body feels tired like I've done hard labor when I haven't even done anything today. I have no appetite at all yet feel so bloated as if I've eaten a gigantic meal. I have no motivation to do any of the work I need to get done and mentally I feel exhausted all the time. I stopped taking the pill and hope I return to normal soon. Read More Read Less

I was switched to this pill from the mini pill after I stopped breastfeeding my son. I did not experience weight gain with this pill, which was a plus, but I have been moody and depressed lately. I just thought it was me. After reading reviews, I am hopeful that my symptoms of depression are related to this med. I also have never had a "regular" predictable period while on this. I have a period every 2 weeks or so that can last from a couple days to a week. It's annoying. I've never had these issues with bc pills before. I am switching.Read More Read Less

I've experienced very few side effects. My period is very light/almost non-existant now and I feel so much better than when I had the copper IUD or Depo

I've been on this pill for 2 months now. I missed my period the first month due to skipping pills. I've had horrid nightmares, extreme back pain, and breakouts all over my forehead and above my lip. My period this month was not heavy at all but extremely dark. My cramps were severe ( hurt to even breathe heavily or move ) wondering if anyone had the same symptoms? Should I try another pill or let Gildess settle in? Should I get my period every month?

Get my period regularly but this pill has caused my breasts to grow a lot. I used to have a bust measurement of 37", now I am a full 39". I have a noticeably higher libido as well. Not the worst side effects, but it is not natural either.

well to start off I was all about the Iud as a birth control but it started giving me abnormal period and I was heavy bleeding disgustingly but then I got on this gildess pill and it works wonders. Its actually giving a certain date of when I actually get my period which I love to know when to expect it. It also have made me lose appetite to food but I have to eat when I get hungry because if not I will get nauseas, that part sucks, but I have not gain any weight what so ever. I've actually loss. It has also made my boobs grow bigger and I love it. Read More Read Less

I have taken Gildess BC for 14 months now and I have just decided to quit. My periods have become lighter but the pain that comes with it have not. Still have severe bloating, cramps, and fatigue even when im not on my period. I finally quit because this pill has made me so depressed that I have started isolating myself and missing work. It is an effective form of birth control, but the side effects from this pill are not worth it anymore.

This drug should be taken off the market. I had an extremely terrible reaction to this medication. I recently had my first panic attack most likely due to normal life stressors of a working mother with 2 kids under the age of 4. A month later I decided it would make sense to get on birth control to not get pregnant again. WORSE MISTAKE EVER! I only completed 1 pack and it was the worse 21 days of my life. It increased my anxiety 10 times worse, I had several panic attacks, ringing in the ears, chest heaviness all day, paranoia, became depressed, sad, and crying almost every other day. I started to not want to go anywhere because I was afraid I was going to have a panic attack. I had constant numbness in my arms and legs and one night I woke up in complete terror with heart pounding, shortness of breath and numbness in my right arm and leg. I also experienced light headedness and dizziness. I was discussing my reactions with my friends and it so happened that another friend took this drug as well and had almost all the same side effects. I would never recommend this drug to anyone. I switched to this pill after taking Generess Fe for a few years because of the high cost of Generess. I took Gildess for 2 months and did not have any spotting or any periods at all actually during that time. However, I got sudden and terrible acne on my neck and jawline that was impossible to treat. I also started getting frequent headaches, was bloated and felt more irritable and moody than normal. I also noticed a lot of my head hair was falling out and I got random dark hairs on my chin. This pill cost me $0 and I really wanted it to work because of that, but the side effects are too much to handle, so I'm switching back to $53/month Generess.Read More Read Less
