I a 28 y/o female, and I purchased Aspercreme Heat for back and neck pain. I suffered an L1 Compression Fracture of my spine a little over a year ago, and have been out of whack since. Used Aspercreme Heat on hands for arthritis before going to bed. Woke up with burning whelps on my hands. I do not have sensitive skin at all. This product should be recalled and should not be allowed to be sold.

I a 28 y/o female, and I purchased Aspercreme Heat for back and neck pain. I suffered an L1 Compression Fracture of my spine a little over a year ago, and have been out of whack since. The painkillers I have been prescribed have been causing headaches, so I thought I'd rather give this a try. I've never used any similar product, but my boyfriend has and warned me to apply this medication very lightly, because it could become too "hot". Within 2mins. of applying, a cold, pain relieving sensation takes over which slowly progresses into heat. I am so happy I applied very lightly, because after my first application, I became rather hot, which felt great, but was a little more intense than expected. I am on day 3 of using this product... I LOVE IT!! It soothes my pain and discomfort. It takes my 7/10 pain, and drops it down to a 4/10. It lasts a good couple of hours. The sponge applicator is awesome because it keeps hands clean of this medicine. However, two very very minor warnings: 1) DO NOT take a hot shower after applying this... Wait a few hours, or take a cool/warm shower, otherwise your skin will feel 10x hotter than it already is because of the warm water. 2) The smell is not pleasant, but, you will learn to love it... the smell becomes comforting because your brain begins to associate it with pain relief.Read More Read Less
