I have only been using Aczone for about a month. My doctor put me on this along with Retin-a Micro to assist in the breakout period that comes along with Retin-a Micro. So far I have seen positive results, though I still have a long way to go (dry skin and some redness.) Just a tip (I didn't know this beforehand) Wait 20 minutes after cleansing to apply product.

I've only been on Aczone for less than two weeks and I already see a TREMENDOUS improvement. When I was first prescribed this medication my acne was at its worst. I could barley even cover it with concealer and two foundations. Less than two weeks later my face is more clear than it has been in a couple of years. My dermatologist said that with the help of another topical and an oral antibiotic any side effects, as far as worsening of acne, should not happen like with other medications (ex. Epiduo, Differin). He was correct because even with the antibiotic I've been taking for over a year that stopped treating my acne to the fullest extent that it did at the beginning, I never got bad acne from Aczone.Read More Read Less

My insurance does not pay squat for this medication but I get it as often as I can afford it is by far the best I've used so far.

For both small comedones and occasional nodular acne this has worked well. I hated duac gel - too drying. I still use retin a at night. But I use aczone twice a day (morning and after work) and retin a at night (most nights) I like the combination. I was itchy at first starting the aczone but started using a heavier moisturizer and that has helped. Over all my skin just looks better. But the product is very expensive! 370$ for 3 month supply. Bt it's worth it.

After I went to the derm she gave me Aczon, Atraline and Doxo (pils). First week, I broke out, but continue because the medicine had to pull all the acne out. Second week, the same and I was going to stop using, but the third week I started peeling a little and seeing some improvement. I excited about the rest of my journey.

Been dealing with cystic acne for over two years- constant breakouts. After multiple dermatologists visits and various creams and topical antibiotics which only dried my skin out and did nothing, I had just about given up all hope. Aczone cleared my skin up within 2 weeks and my face is now totally clear! For me, this has been miraculous and I am spreading the word to anyone who will listen :) My only question is why wasn't I prescribed this earlier? I am enjoying my blemish-free skin immensely.Read More Read Less

I have had acne for 20 years (I'm now 42) and nothing has really worked. Even took Accutane but the acne came back after a year. Aczone + Tazorac has finally take care of my acne. The Aczone actually makes me tolerate the Tazorac and I don't peel at all. I used to get at least one new pimple a day, now none.

I have been on Aczone combined with minocycline for 2 months and it has made my cystic acne worse. It did nothing to control oil, and is very expensive, even with insurance.

This gel is awesome to use on a occasion! I don't have bad acne like they show on the official website, but definitely do break out due to stress. Is a bit pricy but worth it! I think there are savings via online.

I had a bad case of rosecea. I was put on this and tetracycline and within 2 weeks my face was perfectly clear. It had not been that way in over a year.

I developed facial acne during a severe, windy Winter.Waited to see a dermatologist and he gave me 5 small free samples.I am writing on my Mom's computer.I have had success without side effects.I wonder if it is contra-indicated for certain other medeciines.

I used this in conjunction with tazorac. my skin dried and i hated it. THEN...I spoke with dermatologist about the correct way to use. First of all make sure your skin is clean and DRY. WAIT before applying the medication as long as you can, 5 mins minimum. Brush your teeth or eat your breakfast, then put on. Make sure you use a moisturizer over it. PUt all over the face not just on acne.

I used this topical in conjunction with oral doxyccyline and another topical. I believe the oral meds carried the brunt of the load at treating my acne. But the two topicals I used did help mitigate my cystic acne somewhat. I experienced some peeling at first, but that subsided within a week or so with the use of a mild moisturizer.

I have moderate acne, and this medication wasn't very effective at all. The worst breakout I have ever had happened during the 4 months I used this. It just wasn't very strong, and also severly irritated my face! Worse than any other Rx cream I have used

I started breaking out with cystic acne at the age of 27. I have tried almost everything and none worked. I am very pleased with the results of this medication.

I have never needed acne medication nor had to ever worry about acne. I played sports through college, never worried about sweating too much to clog my pores. Once I turned 26 I started getting cases oc cystic acne that regular creams would not cute. I finally used Aczone and my acne is 95% better. I spend $200 a month on this product and believe it's worth the cost.

I suffered from mild adult acne, redness, oilyness and peeling. I have been using Aczone topically for the past 4 months and have seen dramatic results. My acne, redness and peeling has almost completely gone away and am also much less oily. I also started using it on my back and have seen great results. My skin has dramatically improved.

My adult acne is worse now than it was when I began using Aczone twice a day more than a month ago. I'm taking it in combination with 100mg/day of spironolactone. The spironolactone had worked wonderfully for nearly two years, during which I'd been completely acne-free, but the acne had started to return about 4 months ago. My dermatologist recommended that I continue the spironolactone and also start Aczone twice per day. Unfortunately, instead of lessening my acne, the Aczone seems to have exacerbated it, and I need to look for another treatment.Read More Read Less

I am 40 years old and have suffered from cystic acne my entire life. It is horrible during my period, I get big deep itchy bumps. I have been on everything from accutane to topical and oral antibiotics and nothing has worked! The very first day I put Aczone on my itching started to go away and now even during my period I am healing and feel great!
