Noticed that it doesn't last "24 hours" as advertised for me. I take one tablet around 7am and by 10pm I feel my allergy symptoms coming back (itchy skin around nose area). SInce I can only take one a day, I have opt'ed to take Benadryl at night to soothe the symptoms.

Either Wal-zyr (as a generic) does not have the efficacy of Zyrtec (the branded product) or it very easily loses its efficacy over several months of time, as it no longer provides virtually any relief for my Allergic Rhinitis any more.

I take this whenever I get a runny nose/sneezing fits -- I suspect it's from all the dust in my room during the hotter months, and the cold air irritating my sinuses in the colder months. Either way, it works wonders and after about an hour my allergy problems are either cleared up or way better than they were before. The pill is also small, so I have no issue swallowing it with some liquid.

used to keep sinuses clear and prevent ear/balance problems. Has been a real blessing, and I've had zero side effects, even with long term use.

My grandson was taking children's Wal-zyr. He first started having meltdown behavior episodes, then appetite loss, episodes of a lot of vomiting and then blinking of his eyes and grimacing. Took him to a pediatrician, then referred to a Gastro Dr for tests Was suggested to take him off Wal-Zyr and see what happens. Results within a week. No more vomiting, appetite improved, no more meltdowns and blinking of eyes and grimacing stopped. What a relief! Wal-Zyr is scary stuff....

This medication works beautifully for dermatitis without any side effects. My Dr. had me try is for a reaction I had to a strong dose of antibiotics (1500mg ciprofloxacin per day for 1 month) that I had a severe alergic reaction to. I was having reactions after 3 1/2 mos. of taking the drug and this cleared it all up after 2 weeks...It was a Godsend.
