yes, this medication has lowered my BP and I have has no further episodes of racing heart. However, the swelling of my feet is severe, causing discomfort. Really find this side effect life changing and worrisome.

I have been taking Cardizem for about nine months. At first, it was fine. Now I am dizzy, occasionally nauseated, lethargic, have ringing in my ears and flushing. The dizziness is the worst and the feeling I have no pep whatsoever. My urine is a odd greenish shade...

After taking this drug for 1 week my blood pressure is higher than it was before I started taking it. The biggest problem is elavated heart rate it has caused which keeps me from sleeping. Resting heart rate is in the mid 80's.

After trying many beta blockers which gave me asthma-like symptoms, this drug worked to control the palpitations-took a while to get dosage ok (240 mg; reduced my BP med in 1/2 and BP is ok. Hair loss is a side effect ... going to ask the DR about that.

I took Cardizem for the first time recently and suffered some side effects that I was not aware of because I had not read about them any where prior to taking it. They were bloating or swelling of my stomach area and terrible insomnia. It would not let me sleep! I got my doctor to take me off this drug. Beware!

I have taken this for over 20 years for coronary arttery spasms. For me, although the it's expensive, the generic was erratic, so brand was my only option. But I would recommend it without question.

It started fine, no fatigue, no nightmares, no flushing, no nightsweats. I did notice some weird palpatations and some breathlessness. After 3 weeks those effects increased a great deal plus I became rather fatigued upon exertion. I am now going to try Verapamil.

I have not taken it yet. can I cut a 60mg in half to see how I tolerate it? It is not an extended release form. I am afraid of a new drug. I Have been asked to stop Atenolol abruptly and take Cardizam. ONE OF THE SIDE EFFECTS IS IMPARED THINKING. HIOW LONG DOES THIS LAST?

Took 120mg CD for a year after a-fib and had no other attacks until I recently went back into the hospital with the same. Dr. raised it to 240mg which lowered D&S BP by 25 points each and stopped the irregular heart beat. Slightly lethargic as I was when first getting on it, but got adjusted to it after about six weeks. I suppose it will again take some time. I also raised concern about label warning as I take Zocor, but Dr. assures me no conflict with the two meds.

My blood pressure was 210/140 when they started me on this med. Within 3 days it was under control and now I take it daily. If I forget a dose at the correct time, my pressure will start to go up.
