I had extreme pain in the lower right side of my back.(Put me on the floor) I was told it was severe muscle spasm) I haven't had any similar pain since I started taking the medicine.

I have experienced pretty good results in relation to pain and stiffness and the ability to sleep. THe downside is that I get dry mouth and trouble swallowing. I must make sure I take it earlier in the evening than even what the doctor prescribed. My concern is it is only a short-term drug and it is expensive - even with a co-pay. I can't afford it.

I just started on this about one week ago. I have noticed an improvement in my neck stiffness and tight muscles in my upper back. I was on zanaflex for years prior to this and it lost it effectiveness. My only problem is that my pain Dr. said that it is a drug that should only be taken for a short while and he is probably taking me off it next month. I dont understand why if its working well for me, he would do that. He is very concerned with meds that may cause drowsiness and seems to be overly cautious.I think this is responsible of him but is very frustrating to me because I have chronic neck/shoulder pain 24/7.Has anybody else experienced this with their Dr.? I have had major spinal surgery X's 3 and have tried everything on the market for Spasams and this si the only med that has truly given me relief. Thank God for it!!!!!!!

Extreme dry mouth, lasting drowsiness, very expensive

First time in 9 years that woke up with no muscle spasms in my whole body.

I have been taking this medication for 4 days and I am extremely drowsy!! I fall asleep in my chair a lot! I have fibromyalgia and degenerative disc disease. This drug has not relieved my muscle spasms. I was on Zanaflex before (and Flexeril before that) and I just might go back to using that drug instead.

REALLY IT'S NOT THAT GOOD FOR THE SPASMS LIKE THE SOMAS, WHICH I WAS TOLD WERE COMING OFF THE MARKET, THAT'S WHY MY DR. PUT ME ON THESE.

My mouth is constantly dry.

Just a note, I see people who cannot afford this med. Sometimes if you contact the manufacturer of the med, let them know you cann't afford it, they may be able to help you obtain it.

I have been on this medication for two weeks and am still experiencing mild to moderate pain each day. Though it has brought the pain down to a bearable level. Will continue to take it for the time being according to my doctors directions.

I have fibromyalgia. I have chronic pain, mainly in my legs, face, and back. I also have muscle twitches that can last for days. Since starting Amrix about 3 weeks ago, I haven't had any muscle twitching and no severe pain. Not sure is any what result this has done for the pain and twitching because I am taking other medications for them too. I usually have strong side effects from medications and I have not had any.

It has taken one full week to start to see any progress. I'm not certain it is from the drug itself, or just time and resting.

This drug is wonderful for my undiagnosed muscle, tendon pain. The only thing negative is the cost. We need a lower cost drug and one that is covered by insurance

Was given this med as an alternative to valium. I developed severve muscle spasms and pain. It has help alot, some dizziness and fog brain for a few days. After a week, i have some fog brain, no other side effects after 3 days.
