I was on metformin for 4 years, and it worked to regulate my weight and numbers as long as I was careful about what I ate, which, according to my doctor, I didn't do well enough. He switched me to janumet, and I lost 40 lbs in 6 months. Weight just started melting off because I only crave yogurt and granola bars. No more cokes, fast food, sweets, and I don't even miss them. This has been a miracle...

I have been taking Janumet 50/500 twice a day for over 2 months. I started with one pill a day for 6 days at bedtime. I am eating 1200 calories per day with 150 g carbs. I have had no negative side effects. My glucose dropped 100 points after one day. It is now hovers around 100 first thing in the morning. I have lost 32 pounds and am not hungry. I also don't crave sweets anymore. I feel the best I have in years.

I was on 2x1000mg of Metformin for a long time[years] and my blood sugar level kept increasing slowly. Then,I took 1x50/1000 Janumet in the morning and stayed with 1000mg Metformin at night and blood sugar levels came down to normal within 1 week. My prescription asks for a switch to 2x Janumet daily and I wonder whether I should do that, since one tablet already did so much.

I was admitted to the hospital immediately with a blood sugar level of 525! Did not even know I was diabetic. After discharged from hospital was given Janumet. Within the last month, my blood sugars are in the 100's or lower. I am following a diet and exercise program. I feel great and have lost 14 lbs in 8 weeks. I have not felt well for about two years. This drug probably saved my life.

My Dr just called me with my blood results and after taking metformin 850mg twice a day, hes starting me on Janumet in the am and metformin at night. After reading all the reviews I am kind of nervous about starting this medication. I just hope it gets my blood sugars under control. hes also putting me on Lipitor. He said it wont interact with the diabetic meds. Anyone else taking lipitor with Janumet and metformin? Wish me luck im scared!!

My doctor sent me to have an ultrasound because of high lipase and amylase tests. He thought I might have pancreatic cancer or pancreatitis. Over a six month period it kept rising. The cause was Janumet. When I stopped taking it, the counts lowered.
