This ointment was prescribed to me for a sore caused by a TCA treatment to the outside of the vaginal area. It cleared the sore area within a few days...It is not normally prescribed for this but worked fine. I am sure it was also prescribed because it is sterile and used in sensitive areas.

I had a corneal transplant with cataract removal and IOL. This med was a preventive treatment after eye surgery. Application to my eye resulted in burning sensation. I had to get it out immediately - even rinsing my eye for relief! There is no warning about this type of reaction mentioned on this site, but beware! The warnings I did read was very scarey.

While my doctor says it is not a side effect, I see many black dots (like floaters), and the right eye has a smoke puff-like floating around. The ophthomologist says my eyes are fine. My BLOOD PRESSURE goes up at night (160/108 P112). I could barely walk. I know it's the medication because as soon as I stopped it, my pressure goes down and so do the black dots.
