Each time I open and use a new vial it seems to soothe my eyes. However, after a week or ten days of use my eyes sting badly for about 10 minutes after inserting the drop. This is happened each time I start a new vial.

I took this medication for almost 9 mths, that's when my experience became interesting!! One day I had a sudden tingling on my arm at first, as if the beginning of an itch! When I began to itch the spot I couldn't stop.Huge welts came up on my skin!! At first I attribute this to foods or a little wine I'd take with my dinner, about a few ounces, so I stop drinking wine but the itching did not go a...

I'm still experiencing the sudden itching but to a less degree. I'm thinking of asking my doc to reevaluate this prescription.Read More Read Less

My regular pressure checks indicate the medication is working. It's not the most convenient to get into the inside pocket of your lower eyelid and block the tear duct for 1 minute.

Open angle glaucoma using 1 drop in each eye of Latanoprost 0.005% SOL at bedtime lowered pressure from 19 in both eyes to 14 in the left and 16 in the right.Dr. added Combigan 0.2/0.5% SOL 1 drop each eye 2 times daily now pressure is 6 in left eye and 11 in right eye. Experiencing sore nostrils and increased allergy symptoms. Have used for approx. 7 weeks.

I had horrible pain that would just explode in my eye~without warning~it would only last a couple of seconds, but those few seconds were incapacitating! I took this for over 2 years and am now on Lumigan~which is ok, but the itching in my tear ducts and more hairs next to my tear ducts are a big problem for me! I tried the Zioptan~but it comes in only single use dosage and it's a waste as there is too much for one dose and you are NOT supposed to keep it for a second dose. I am just too upset to waste that & waste the environment on single doses when I do all I can to help the environment and there are these other drops to use just as good. Read More Read Less

While Latanaprost does decrease eye pressure, I have experienced the side effect of chronic redness of the eyelids and some redness of the sclera of the eye. It is unsighlty, looks to others as if I might have a chronic eye infection. I am surprised that nobody has synthesized something to combine with Latanaprost to reduce eye redness in those who must use it. As one who speaks in public from time to time, I find it an embarrassment.

Eye pressure readings have been excellent the past year and 1/2. My physician has provided excellent care and spends adequate time telling me about side effects and long term treatment. My eye drops continue to provide consistent pressure results.

It's keeping the pressure down but I have many side effects from this drug. Like my throat feels sore in the morning and it's red. Some other things are I have a nasal drip, trouble swollening at times and dizziness and very out of breath. Plus the bottle is very hard to squeeze and I think overdosing on it.

Has anyone experienced dryness in sinus/nasal passages from this? I previously used Xalatan until the generic version came out in Spring, 2011. I've been using first X/then L since 2007 and wondered if long term use can cause this side effect?
