I have fibromyalgia, neuropathy and arthritis. Ive had to try so many different medications. Some strong narcotics. One of the doctors I saw wanted to try something new to see if we could get me off of some of the hard stuff. This is what I wanted also. He sent me to pt and had me try omt with an Osteopathic doctor and changed my meds to ultram (50-100mg twice a day and naproxyn 500mg twice a day. If I really need it I can take baclofen at night. I was prescribed 50mg Tramadol Capsules for pain after undergoing a Diagnostic Laparoscopy under general anaesthetic. I was unwell therefore I was in bed every time I took one of the capsules, 3x daily but spaced out. After taking the capsules the pain would go away completely however the side effects were severe and worrying. Muscle twitching, particularly in the leg and foot area which got worse and uncontrollable. Extreme vertigo and drowsiness even though I couldn't fall asleep. Experienced a state of Euphoria and felt very high and confused, also forgetting things I had just spoke about or thought about. Very addictive though I am not sure why, the side effects were extremely worrying.Read More Read Less

no relief from ultram recently hsa cortisone in rortater cuff took motrin and very effective I do feel flushed

if they had a stronger doseage it would help alot more with my pain. my dr. has me taken 1 & 1/2 pills 2 times a day.. but its still not strong enough.. my pain sometimes is way out there n the doseage im on just doesn't cut my pain...

I was taking this medication for pain from old sergery but what i wasnt told was i was going to have to "kick" it like an addict kicks herion!!!! ALL the same symptoms. major mood swings and depression durring the 8 months i took it. It says NON-narcodic but i feel decieved. Won't recomend this med for anyone who has ever been addicted to anything before. Note that if u have never been addicted this med may be your first experience.

Given to me after experiencing a fall(from blacking out) resulting in a broken neck, badly sprained ankle and broken arm. Rest X 10 weeks. Pain is increasing since incident. This drug does nothing to alleviate the pain. I think I sometimes feel worse than if I took nothing. I am shocked that people find it at all effective. I told my doc to find something else for me. It is a zero in my book for relieving my pain.

good relief of arthriis joint pain

For moderate pain this drug works fine. The worst side effect is the drowsiness. This medication makes me more SLEEPY then any pain med I have EVER tried!It makes it so difficult to use during the day when you need to work and or get things done. I really wish there was a pain medication out there that is effective for pain -yet- does not make you so drowsy that you can't take it during the day.

Makes me itch! Can't sleep well at all

Effective relief of osteoarthrutus, but I believe it is causing my blood sugar to rise significantly. Only taking it for a week, but have noticed a rise in my numbers. I may have to stop if this continues, for my sugar was well under control.

I have fibromyalgia and interstitial cystitis (a chronic bladder condition). I used to be on narcotics, but my doctor switched me to this stuff. It does provide some moderate pain relief - but it only lasts for about 1-2 hours with me, AND I have major side effects, including heartburn, stomach pain, and diarrhea. Also, I find myself feeling agitated and unable to concentrate normally when I take it - and my husband says I'm irritable as all get out. I'm trying to get off this med. I have nerve damage from a car accident and multiple surgeries envolving my lover back. Consequently, the siatic nerve down my left leg was injured and now I have bouts of nerve pain involving my left leg. Ultram takes the pain away withing 36 hours.

After taking my third dose, I was completely out of pain for the first time since 1993. Then there was a sudden, very intense, sharp stabbing feeling starting at the bottom of the left rib.Then it traveled across my upper abdomen viciously,extremely sharp pain and severe nausea, dizziness, confusion, anxiety that caused my to stutter, effecting my speech, my ability to walk correctly was compromised. As I attempted to walk out of the room to find my husband for help, the abdominal pain and nausea spread throughout my entire colon, a distended colon. My head felt tight and stuffed with cotton causing tremendous discomfort. I has been 48 hours since my last pill and I still have all of the symptoms I mentioned, but very slow dissipating.
