Suffered severe panic attack after husband committed suicide. Attack never subsided. Ended up in mental hospital for observation after 3 yrs of constant attacks. I am especially interested in the effects of alcohol and coffee. I drink 2-3 beverages (wine) daily and notice no difference when I stop drinking wine or coffee (3 cups a day)

Symptoms: Heart palpitations, derealization, slowed thinking/cognitive ability, lightheaded, brain fog, memory loss, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive, and depression over the course of 2 months. Within two days on Xanax I was 95% back to normal. Makes me sleepy though. Wonderful drug for me, I'm pretty much back to normal and happy again!
