suffer from agoraphobia. if i take one before i go into an unfamiliar situation, it squashes the attack before it starts. also if you are already having one, it squashes it in a reasonable amount of time, making you feel 'normal' again.

I only take Xanax if I can't calm myself dowb from a panic attack. It does work, but I hate the feeling I get after taking it. I feel drugged and tired almost immediately.

I take xanax 3 times a day when I am having a real hectic day and it keeps me from loosing my composure but still maintain a clear head. Also on days that are not so hectic I will cut back on the dosage or not take any at all.

Kindly doctor put me on Xanax and attacks went away almost immediately. Xanax saved my life as I was unable to control attacks and suffered them daily. I only take 1 a day so maybe it is all mental, but nothing helped up until then. Fe ... Show Full Comment

I am especially interested in the effects of alcohol and coffee. I drink 2-3 beverages (wine) daily and notice no difference when I stop drinking wine or coffee (3 cups a day)
