    I have only been on this medication for about 5 weeks and it works really well for me. Its so nice to fall asleep and sleep through the night without feeling dead inside. I was taking 450 mgs of Trazodone and was still not sleeping well. I have also tryed to stop drinking anything after 7pm so I don't have to pee in the middle of the night.     Prescribed ambien 5mg 5years ago took for 2 years every night thought it was amazing at first could finally fall asleep and stay asleep all night after a year or so started getting panic attacks and anxiety and wild nightmares that I never had before went to another doctor who said that I never should have taken nightly and for 2 years was taken off slowly and all of the above stopped .     Taking Ambien due to tapering off Morphine as people abusing it now Australian Doctors are coming up with any excuse to not prescribe the amount ive taken for 15 years without increase [sounds like im whining?] until you realise that chronic pain means my life is hell!....anyway taking ambien 25mg x 3 at night, makes me feel weird, I dont like it, does let me sleep without restless leg syndrome, n ...     Started Ambien (10-mg dosage) several years ago after a time of severe life stress and six weeks straight of averaging four hours sleep per night. At first I got 7 hours of deep, dreamless sleep; it's now good for 5-6 hours. Although my doctor prescribed it for me to fall asleep, it helps also if I wake up in the middle of the night; I'm groggy enough that I can fall back asleep easily. ... Show Full Comment
