I havent been on ambien very long little over a month and find that it is very effective that i get a good nights sleep. i have to get up at 4am for work so i take it around 7-8pm so i can get a full 7-8 hrs of sleep. i used to wake up several times a night but now i dont since my doctor prescribed me ambien. i reccommend it very highly for anyone who has problems sleeping all through the night ... This medication did not work for me. Initially it did the job. But after a few weeks, it was not effective.

I have tried Lunesta which always leaves a very strange taste in my mouth the morning after. I have also used Restoril which keeps me extremely tired even after I wake up and take a shower to help me become more refreshed. I really like ambien because it's gentle. I ease right to sleep.
