I had severe depression for many years and had tried virtually every type of anti-depressant and many different combinations. After a nearly fatal suicide attempt and 20 sessions of ECT, Cymbalta was released and I began taking 120mg. this drug helped my depression at the expense of my emotional capacity. no empathy, poor judgement and heavy drinking. Physical impact included high blood pressure, heavy weight gain leading to high cholesterol, and the inability to empty my bladder leading to chronic UIT's. I have been taking Cymbalta for approximately 7 years and found it was the only drug that stopped me from having to have regular ECT's. I have to take 90 mg. a day but it works and I have no measurable side effects.

I been on Cymbalta 10 years it been great for me I have tried to get off my husband like me on it we get along better

have been taking for 3 years. started with 30mg. for 2 weeks then up the dose to 60mg. it was to much,went to 30mg. twice a day for 6 mo. then back to 60mg. 1x day. then my rx plan went to a generic 3 mos. later i was crazy depressed. so some fighting with them i am finnaly getting name brand again and everything is great. remember some generics are good,but somethings you dont play with, the depr ...
