I have chronic kidney stones, which is VERY painful at times. I take Vicodin when then pain is tolerable, if it is not I go to the ER and they give me Dilauded, within a minute or so the pain is completely gone and the stone can pass comfortably.

    Comment:
I was prescribed dilaudid after open heart surgery. I found little to no relief in the pain. The doctors even doubled the dose after explaining all my discomfort. I am left very disappointed and in pain. Oh and I have also been constipated from the day I started taking the medicine.
