While not long lasting, the injections for knee pain were successful in releaving most of the pain for to 5-6 weeks promoting better mobility. A good temp solution. Dr. Injected both hips. This is the second time for me. Because of frequent use side effects, I only have this done once or twice a year.

I have Bursitis in my left hip. It becomes very painful. I have had three shots in the past several years, my last shot was today. It helps but unfortunately does not provide long-lasting relief, in my case it only lasts about 3-6 months. Defiantly worth it though, when you have that much pain, it's such a relief and it's usually immediate.

I received this subacromial injection for rotator cuff tendinitis and periscapular pain that has persisted despite having my torn labrum surgically repaired. I felt some relief from the burning muscle pain for about a day. About a week later I started having unusual bouts of high energy and increased irritability. I also started spotting for a full week before my usual menstrual cycle, and have continued to have disturbances to my cycle. I didn't mind having more energy, but the menstrual disturbances have been frustrating. After about 3 weeks, the energy and irritability had mostly subsided As for the shoulder, it's been about a month since I had the injection, and I can't really say that this treatment has helped significantly. It certainly has not helped enough for me to want to do this again. In general, I tend to be more sensitive to drugs, so keep that in mind when deciding on this treatment. Read More Read Less

I received this intramuscular shot to relieve my pain/swelling from my neck through my left arm. I only felt a little change for 2-3 hours then the pain came back again.

Received an injection in face next to nose where basal cell cancer surgery had left hardened scar tissue. The injection softened and greatly improved the appearance of the skin/scar tissue. I did not have any noticeable side effects.

I had osteoarthritis and was going on a cruise when edema set in and swelling on my hands became unbearable and increasing joint pain especially to upper arms wrists and fingers. The shot relieved all symptoms very fast and lasted about three weeks. I was told that I should not take more then three shots per year, but the pain came back less the edema. The shot was given in my butt and worked amazingly fast. How often can I take this medication safely?

I have been having injections for the past ten years for symptoms associated with my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Injections are given by my doctor, very simple, not painful - just feels a bit cold when injected. This starts working immediately for me and within 24 hours I am feeling tremendously better. I have had no adverse side effects associated with the injection site or medication. I normally get an injection every other month (five per year). This injection is not a cure to my Rheumatoid Arthritis as I still have symptoms of stiffness and aching (mainly in the morning) even after having the injection although it takes that throbbing and intolerable pain away. For me, one injection lasts approximately eight weeks. In my opinion, this is a lifesaver for me as I would not be able to accomplish normal daily tasks without it. Read More Read Less

I developed purpura shortly after cataract surgery(bleeding from capillaries just under the skin which produced large extensive red spots resembling a rash, but could not be felt on the skin. Blood tests were normal. Eye Surg. and primary care physician said all I could do was wait and hope it disappeared in about 30 days. After 70 days of waiting wih constant recurrence I visited my excellent dermatologist and he called it vaculitis and gave me a shot of Triamcinolone Acetonide 10 mg. Within 5 days the large spot were reduced to pinpoint size, and recurrences were hardly even noticeable. The shot was one month ago and I am presently free of any symptoms of the vasculitis, and hoping it stays that way. Read More Read Less

Started using this medication in December 2012 to alleviate multiple symptoms of a Lupus flare (joint & muscle pain, fatigue, hair loss). Started noticing an improvement within 24 hours of administration. Effects seem to last between 5 - 6 weeks. Had second dose in February 2013. No side effects noted.
