I have irritable bowel syndrome. My Dr. recommended the use of this drug. It has been amazing. I have a bowel movement every day. No more cramps or straining. I have noticed diarrhea the past two days, but I have exceeded the recommeded length of time on the drug and have changed my diet drastically to include lots of fiber, fruit, vegetables, etc. I am going to take a break and see what happens.

I took this Dulcolax after surgery and became constipated after taking pain meds. It worked - however I now have nausea, and a sever odor and taste in my mouth Also, my urine and BM's have this same odor. It has been over a week since I've taken the meds and I still have these issues. I'm wondering if anyone else have experienced this. I will not use this product again.

I took this because I was unable to move my bowels and my abdomen was distended. I took it at night, had a small bowel movement that night, than the following day, had 3, all of which contained a significant amount of blood. The pressure of my distended abdomen subsided, but was replaced with a piercing pain in my lower abdomen.... Just called the doctor after reading this site and seeing the "serious but rare side effect" listing rectal bleeding... I always seem to get the rare side effects....Read More Read Less

This drug is difficult to swallow. It sticks in my throat as if it was covered in a sticky substance. I drink lots of water, tried coating it with olive oil, and I have to take a nitro to open the passages to get it down -- IT's GLUE!

The medecine helped me move my bowels, but I had stomach pain and large amounts of intestinal gas after taking it.
