Been on 10 mg for 41/2 yrs. it saved my sanity if not my life. It was a miracle drug for me. Now they must cut dosage to 5mg? My anxiety level has just shot up, fearing I will go back to nights with absolutely no sleep and barely surviving. I know my body is adjusted to 10 mg and this will be a huge problem for me. Why?

Since menopause (13 years ago), my doctor has changed my medication many times. All of them lost their effectiveness in time. Zolpidem has had the longest effectiveness of any other I have taken, but I suspect that it will lose its "punch" at some time in the future.
