i found that if i take it about 30-45 minutes after eatting with the 8 oz. of cold water, that i'm relatively fine, however, taking it on an empty stomach in the morning made me terribly nauseated and nothing helped stop it for about an hour or two. it's really helping clear up my skin when tons of otc stuff didn't.

Severe pain in stomach. Tightness in chest. Tingling in hands and face. I'm 17 years old and thought I was going to die in my bed. Went to emergency and was told to immediately discontinue. These symptoms lasted for another three weeks. I was terrified it would never end. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT

Took 100mg 2x/day for 7 days before having the WORST case of heartburn I have ever had which has lasted for a week now. Could not finish the 10-day course. Stopped taking after speaking w/Dr & am now taking Prilosec & Zantac to help the heartburn pain; have had bad headaches w/serious esophageal pain when I eat/drink. The skin rash was cleared up while taking this but came right back since stopping the medication.

Well first off I take 100mg twice a day and no one told me that stay out of the sun ment Stay out of the sun. I of course thought i would get burned turned out i would get horribly sick. I cant keep my food down and my head wants to explode. I feel so tired but idk if its the meds or the lymes this sucks plus it seems that no one can really tell me what lymes is all about and what I should be looking for as far as symptoms and such. I hope it works cuz I am a person who loves going outside and Im going crazy in the house.Read More Read Less

I have taken it in the past with good results and no side effects, but the last two times I have developed a nasty rash on my torso and feel lightheaded and dizzy for a full day.

Was prescribed medication for skin infection secondary to a tick bite. Not in Lyme endemic area but with advancing cellulitis Dr thought to kill two potential birds with one stone. The side effects are very uncomfortable beginning with the naseau others have mentioned and headaches. Very bad on empty stomach and lasts about an hour. Better luck about hour after a meal.It took a full 48 hours to start to work as the area of cellulitis was still growing for two days after starting therapy. Then it kicked in and cleared up the infection. DO NOT LIE DOWN AFTER TAKING THIS MED !!! Made the mistake of taking the drug just before bed (having forgotten after dinner, as I was trying to avoid naseau but maximize effectiveness) Forget the caveat about not lying down for at least 1/2 hour after ingestion. In two hours had really bad heartburn that lasted all the next day. Then had feeling like food stuck in the throat the day after that! Read More Read Less

This medicine gives me an upset stomache everytime I take it, and additionally it has given me the worst case of heartburn I have ever experienced. I stopped taking it and I still have pain in my esophagus everytime I try to eat, drink, or just when I'm resting. I also have to sit up at night. I think it may have caused an extreme amount of acid in my stomache that created a chemical burn on my esophagus. I will just still with the cream to clear up this skin infection.

I have taken this drug several times for lyme disease. Every time the symptoms disapeared after about 2-3 mos and I tested negative. However it keeps coming back after 6-12 mos. I am on it again for a 5 mos. treatment, I'll see how it goes and review again.

I just had all my teeth pulled & Dr prescribed this med 2x a day to prevent infection. Taken a week now & dread taking ea time because of excruciating migraines I suffer. Mixing Lortab & Excedrine just to sleep it off. Stay in dark bedroom 90% of time till next pill. Prev scheduled 2 days off work, but had to take all wk - can't function. Have decided to stop med & contact Dr for replacement on Monday. Still very painful, swollen & bruised - feels like 1st day.

This medication has made me very sick for the entire time I have taken it. I have also developed a rash on my hand. I would rather have a UTI for the rest of my life than continue taking this medication. I have missed classes and work due to this medication, At least I was able to due those things when I had (and still have) my UTI.

I take it it every morning, love the results it has but I have to eat a heavy breakfast with it. Taken with an empty stomach, I find myself vomiting within a 1/2 hour and am down & out for the rest of the day. very unpleasant, other than that-no other complaints.

I've been using this 2x a day for nearly a month with some results. I still have breakouts but they are not as bad. The side affects are pretty nasty--nausea, headaches, and severe vaginal irritation. I plan on asking my dermatologist for a different medication since the cons far outweigh the pros.

I take this med for folliculitis and acne. It works wonders on the skin, but the side effects are horrible. When taken on an empty stomach I feel sick within minutes and I end up vomitting soon there after. I prefer to take it 30 minutes before going to bed. Don't just stop taking the meds, experiment with different ways to take (times, with/without food) until you find something that works for you AND is fits within your doctors instructions. The drug is really effective if you can find a situation that will decrease the side effects.Read More Read Less

Took medicine on a completely empty stomach and threw up for 10 minutes. I take during my lunch and haven't been sick since. I feel alot better. Suffering from over growth of bacteria in the vagina due to hormonal changes going thru the change of life. Hopefully this doesn't happen to often.

I love the fact that it controls my acne problem, because I get it bad. However, one of the side effects I get are yeast infections. That's the part that I hate.

I told my doctor about these pimples I kept getting that would last for months then finally drain but the draining would last a week (gross!) He prescribed me this medication and I am kicking myself for not asking about these pimples sooner. I haven't had any pus from that spot since the first dose and its getting better everyday. I have virtually no side effects accept for the sensitivity to sunlight (I forgot to put on sun screen and my skin burned for a good hour after hiking but it went away). The only thing Im concerned about is how long to take it for, My doctor didn't give me a specific time just when it flared up until it got better (but how long is too long and short too short???) If anyone can answer me that I will greatly appreciate it! Read More Read Less
