Started 300 mg dose 10 yrs ago after 2 attacks of gout in foot. No attacks since, no side effects that I know of. Dr says no reason to discontinue taking drug in spite normal uric acid levels for last 10 yrs.

i have been taking this tablet for 6 months now but woke up with it in my big toe.was drinking a lot at the weekend thou is this normal

works for me. Have been taking it for about 2 years after my first severe Gout attack.No further attacks since. Not sure if I'll need to take this for the rest of my life or if I should stop taking.
