I have been taking this drug for about three months. When I first started taking this at 300mg per day I had a fairly severe gout attack that lasted 4-5 days, but nothing since. I have had no adverse reactions to the drug as some folks have had. I notice that when I have a beer (very seldom now) I start to feel some discomfort in my feet like the onset of a gout attack. It killed my brother. Doctor in nursing home did not send to hospital when bloody urine and rash started.

I take 2 x 100mg tablets dailey, it stops me getting gout but now I have a rash on my stomach, arms & groin, the arms & stomach get really itchy on hot days.

I had 2 major gout attacks in 4 months. doctor said I should have surgery on my big toe. He found many crystals that he removed. Been on 200mgs for 2 months now with now other attacks. I hope this works. Gout really sucks.
