My 12 year old son has his tonsils out as well. It worked better than other drugs. The taste was horrible. We liked the Hycet(R) form of the med b/c is was a lower dose of Tylenol(R).

Was used to ease pain after sleep apnia surgery, the taste and gag reflux was tremendious. The noxious vapors were very hard to swollow and upon returning home from hospital it was the first medicine I needed to take to releive pain. I'm taking this due to a recent T&A surgery. The only side effect I notice is that I'm having the worst food cravings. I normally don't crave food so this is particularly difficult being on a liquid only diet! Otherwise I'm having no issues with this medication so far.

This medication was for my little one he is 8 yrs old and had his tonsils and adenoids removed. He still complained with throat pain after the use of medication each time, and then complained with it burning his mouth. He opted for Tylenol over this. Plus, he said it tasted horrible. I would not recommend this medication.

My 12yr old son had a tonsillectomy and the medicine worked very quickly and had no side effects. I am very pleased with this medicine.
