My period is much lighter, my PMS symptoms have greatly decreased, my acne cleared up, I did not gain weight, and I have not gotten pregnant.

This is the first type of birth control I have ever been on and I LOVE it. I wish that I didn't have to take a pill every day, but I've had zero side effects so I'm reluctant to change to a more permanent method such as an implant or IUD. This has been a great pill.

I just started taking for irregular bleeding due to pcos. I haven't had any relief. It has only caused heavier bleeding. Not sure I will continue.

As a teenager i had the worst cramps, and my periods would last longer than 7 days. When i began taking them my periods are now 3-4 days and my acne is no longer there.

Have been taking this BC pill for a little over a week and have had mild side effects. Within 5 days of taking Nortrel 7/7/7 I acquired a yeast infection. I then treated it with Monistat 1 day treatment. I never had this problem while taking other contraceptives. But I will say this so far is the only one that has stopped my irregular bleeding. In the past two years I've tried them all! From Depo to the pill and this seems to work great! I have noticed I am photosensitive. Only because I've been tanning (have to attend a wedding and so pale!). I've never had this problem. If none of the other BC pills or methods have worked due to constant bleeding give this one a try! I was on this pill for about 6 months and during that time period I either had a very light period or no period at all. One issue I had with it was when I had just started taking it and the period after it was excruciating. It also cleared up my acne quite a bit. I really recommend this pill.

I went on Nortrel 777 for several reasons. Birth control, to regulate my periods (if I wanted one), and to also "skip" them if I chose. I've been on this pill two different times, and both times the first 3 months are absolutely terrible for me. I have never gotten cramps before, I realize this is probably rare, but both times beginning the pill they've been horrible. I also have gotten pretty dizzy the first time I was on it, nearly passing out in the shower at the gym, so be careful. I have noticed that if I am an hour or two late taking the pill I will start spotting that night for a day or two and it will go away. It's cheap and effective. If you are used to having cramps you will probably not notice the side effects as much as I did but do be careful about getting dizzy.Read More Read Less

I've been taking Nortrel 777 since March of this year. I have gained excess weight. My cycle only comes on one day a month since June. Can someone please tell me the reason

I am so happy with this birth control. Ive tried several other birth controls which have made my mood terrible and completely decereased my sex drive. But ive been on this one for 3 months now and i have nothing but good things to say about it. The first month it made me a little dizzy but once my body got used to it that side effect completely went away and im as happy as ever with this birth control now!

This medication gave me horrible PMS, I had a tiny bit spotting and no period. I didn't have this before on my other medication and I know I am not pregnant.

My normal birth control got back ordered and I was put on this for a month since it was almost the same thing. My only major complaint about this medicine was that I had stomach problems after taking it even after eating a good meal. Later while talking to my pharmacist we think it might have been the coating. Other wise it seemed to work like my normal birth control from what I could tell.

After a first month of irregular bleeding, my periods went from back breakingly painful, nausea inducing cramps that lasted 7-9 days andwere heavy to 3 days of light period with little to no cramps. I also had acne at 23 years old and it stopped it where nothing else ever had. I get a little headache at the beginning of each new week when the hormones change and a little moody, I also put on 5 or 10 pounds Im not happy about. Otherwise this pill did everything my previous pill did but more and better. I recommend this to anyone with heavy painful periods and acne. Read More Read Less

i have been using this for about a year and a half and have had no problems with it. i did have severe acne when i started as well as painful periods. when i started taking this, acne vanished and i had lighter, shorter periods. i love this birth control, although the acne has progressively gotten worse, it's better than not taking a contraceptive at all.

I was first put on a different birth control to help with my Dysmenorrhea, but it was making me even more irritable so they switched me to this and I have been much easier to get along with my family says! It has shortened my periods and I no longer cramp and hurt from them, my acne has cleared up. The only bad thing is when the sugar pills start I get a horrible headache for about 3 days. I am extremely happier on this and will stay on it.

This is by far one of the worse B.C. pills that I have been on... I was placed on the pill because of heavy bleeding and painful cramps. I was on Yaz prior but switched because of all of the controversy--My doctor placed me on Nortrel and I have had nothing but problems--really fine acne (never had it before), painful cramps, bloating, water retention, and I have put on between 5-10 pounds. My doctor is placing me on something new. I know that everyone responds to things differently but I would NOT recommend this to anyone.Read More Read Less
