Synthroid has worked like a charm. I have been on the same dose for years and it has balanced my thyroid perfectly. My only complaint is that I have to take it separately from my other morning medications. I used to take everything (I have multiple disorders and lots of meds) as soon as I got up so that I wouldn't forget anything. All my tests were fine for many years. Then I got a new PC ... I was given this medication for hypothyroidism. I have taken it for three years, after being told I had a goiter. My weight has increased from 175lbs to 255lbs. My thyroid is still under-active. In fact recently, I was told I have 4 nodules in the left side and three nodules in the right side. I have changed doctors each year for different reasons. The last one (a woman) told me "You are ... Weight gain, sleeplessness and somewhat of memory loss. I don't have much energy and will be seeing my doctor about other alternatives to synthroid.

This is hard for me because I am not sure what I am supposed to feel like. i have lived with underactive thyroid for a long time without knowing what the cause of my fatigue, weight gain and muscle aches was. I have improved--but not much--

My weight increased drastically when I was switched from Levoxythyroid to Synthroid. I feel like the pig it's made from.
